Why Should You Care?

If you stumbled across this profile, then I'm sure that's a question you may wonder. In short, because of a little word known as equality. We all want to be treated equally, in fact in the United States where I live, it's considered a fundamental right, even if it wasn't always followed. As a writer on wattpad, I want to see everyone treated with equality.

No matter what type of book you write, action, fantasy, lgbt, or even fan-fiction, it deserves to be accepted for the beauty it is, and respected. All books need to be judged on their quality, not their content. That is why I have developed projectAnimerespect, or Anime_Respect for short. I have seen, and been told countless times, that books with Anime covers or characters are just for kids. Now, Marvel Comics aren't just for kids, video games aren't just for kids, just because characters are made with big eyes and they started as cartoons doesn't mean that their just for children.

There are plenty of anime shows that I wouldn't consider showing to a child! Just because somebody likes an art style or something of like, doesn't mean it should be put down because of it. In fact, a lot of covers I see on wattpad have an art style feel to them, similar to anime. Why is it a rarity to see a featured book with an anime cover besides in fanfiction? If you're a good writer, as I said before, it should be respected. And that is why we are here, we want to give Anime books the credit they deserve, and to help them improve so their content is as good as any featured book on wattpad. Our dream is to make it so an anime book is just as normal as a bad boy book.
