Chapter 10: Surprise!

A/N: Hii! Hoshimi-chan here! I'm soo happy if you guys read my chapters because I noticed that recently the chapters haven't gotten as much reads as the chapters before them. PRESENT:

Zen's POV: 

"How are you going to punish me?" Erai said in a naughty way.

"Not in the way that you're probably thinking of because I'm not that kind of..." I said but then paused wondering about if he knew about who I was and if I should tell him.

"I'm not that kind of what?" he asked repeating what I had just said.

"I'm not that kind of, erm, person," I said finally thinking of a term that wouldn't give away my position.

"Oookay? So how?" he asked again but not in a weird way.

"Hrm... I don't actually know," I said after thinking about it for 5 minutes.

"After five minutes and you still don't know?!" Erai said surprised.

"Yes, do you have a problem with that? And besides I want someone else's opinion on the situation," I replied thinking about (Y/N).

"Oh? So who is that someone else?" he asked getting naughty thoughts again.

"Ugh just stop, A-and she's nothing special, just a friend that I met a while ago," I stated clearly blushing really hard. 

As I was getting dirty thoughts about (Y/N), Erai interrupted me.

"Um, I never did get your name so, could you tell me your name?" he asked quietly unsure about if he should speak.

"Hm? Oh um uh. My name is uh..."I paused thinking about if I should tell him my name or make one up.

Instead I just asked him, "Um, before I answer your question can I ask you something?"

"Uh um, sure I guess," he replied unsure.

"My question is that I want to know who you really are and where you are from," I state making it more obvious that it wasn't a question but instead a statement.

"Well, to answer your question, I was a spy sent here by His Highness of Tanbarun," Erai said proudly.

"Wait! Do you mean Raji Shenazard?!" I asked surprised.

"Hm? Yeah I mean His Highness," he said not even the slightest bit surprised.

"Whoa whoa whoa. Are you saying that you are from Tanbarun?" I asked to clarify things a bit more.

"Um yes?" he replied a bit confused.

"Okay then, so are you going to go back to your country or what", I said even though it came out wrong as soon as I said it.

"Um well, I don't think I can go back to Tanbarun because of the mission that His Highness asked me to do," he stated worried.

"Oh why? And what's the mission that he asked you to do? Does it have to do with your encounter with me?" I ask.

"Um..I don't know if I should tell you," he hesitated.

"It's okay, you can tell me because I wouldn't kill or harm anyone unless if I have to," I stated.

"Okay then. So where should I begin?" he asked himself.

"Shouldn't we go somewhere to talk and not stand in the middle of the hallways?" I asked starting to walk away.

"Hm? Oh yeah sure. So a few weeks ago I was called to the castle, but when most people get called to the castle it doesn't mean any good, but I was different. When I arrived at the castle it was eerily quiet. There weren't any guards like there's supposed to be. So I just walked in exploring the place and when I arrived at two pairs of double doors guards decided to show up. I then fought half a dozen and the double doors opened. Once the doors opened the guards just stopped moving and stood there. I then turned around facing the doors that were opened before me.I walked in and the doors just closed.And then I suddenly-" He said as we walked until I suddenly cut him off.

"Wait so you're saying that you arrived at the castle unescorted?!" I ask clearly surprised that the idiot prince doesn't guard his castle properly.

"Um yes? And may I continue?" He asked with a hint of irritation in his voice.

"Yes, you may continue," I state. 

"And then I suddenly was greeted with no one in the room except His Highness. He then asked me if I wanted to help him out and at the same time explore another kingdom. I had asked him what he wanted me to help him with and what kingdom I could explore and he answered by saying 'Just go to Clarines and gather as much information as you can without letting others find out about both your identity and the mission'. So I agreed and came here gathering as much info as I can about the place. At least, until I bumped into you and told you about the whole thing." He finished looking at me.

"Ookay then. So basically you're a spy," I say drily.

"Well no, but you could say that," he denied.

"But when I asked you then first time, you said that you aren't a spy," I questioned. 

"Um hehe, I didn't want others to find out but instead I ended up trusting you so that's why you know," he replied sheepishly. 

"Oh okay," I replied a bit surprised.

"Soo where are we?" he asked looking at the place before him.

"Hm? Oh this is the royal gardens. I figured that we could look at the view here since the moonlight makes this place beautiful at night," I stated as I stared into the distance inhaling the sweet smell of the flowers and the beauty of the garden itself.

"Um, excuse me! Zen!" Someone said shouting my name.

"(Y/N)?" I said as I turned around to the source of her voice.

"Ugh where were you? I was looking all over the place and when I couldn't find you I got worried. Oh and who is this?" she asked turning around to look at Erai.

"Uh um, this is my acquaintance," I said hesitating about her reaction to this. Although I think this has happened before but I hope she won't get mad. I thought.

"Oh okay," she replied unsure.

"Where is he from?"

"He's from Tanbarun," I sighed.

"Wait! Tanbarun?!" 

"Yes, yes he is. Why?"

"Oh wait. You're from Tanbarun yourself," I remembered.

"Mhm, although I left because of that annoying and cowardly prince," she said in annoyance.

"So what is your name? Mine is (full name)," she said looking at his eyes.

"Um mine is..." he said unsure of her identity.
