Zen's POV:

Even though I told (y/n) to calm down, I knew that I couldn't. But knowing my brother, he probably woke up and ran off somewhere. But the problem is where. I looked at Erai to see what his reaction was and if he knew anything about him being missing AGAIN. But for some strange reason, he didn't have any sort of effect and instead had on a straight face that showed 'I'm not interested in any of this but whatever. I just hope he's alright' kind of look.

"Um... Erai? Are you okay?" I asked out of concern.

"W-what makes you think that? I-I mean I'm perfectly fine," He said snapping out of his trance.

"Hmm... Okay then. If you say so," I said even though I didn't believe him. I then turned around to see (y/n) freaking out with her hands/arms on her head.

"Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh! What're we gonna do! He's missing once again! And if other people find out, the kingdom is going to be a mess!" she said running around panicking.

I go up to her and try to calm her down, "(y/n), it'll be alright. I know I've said this to you moments ago," Putting my hand on her shoulder. "But seriously, you need to calm down. I'm also worried about the same things you are but it won't solve anything by just running around the garden panicking."

She looked up at me, tears forming at the edge of her eyes. "Y-you're right. T-thank you," she said wiping the tears away with her index finger.

"No problem," I replied blushing a bit. "Should we go and look for him again?" I asked in a calm voice.

"We should continue to look for him since he is the First Prince of Clarines and next in line for the crown," Erai responded thoughtfully.

"Should we split up?" (Y/N) asked.

"How about into two teams?" I asked, "(Y/N) could be with me and Erai could go on his own?" I suggested hoping I could be with (Y/N). I mean she's just so beautiful and cute when she's happy. But when she's mad, well let's just say it's a living hell.

"I dunno know. I'd much rather have (Y/N) with me than with you." Erai said unsure.

"I want to be with Zen if you don't mind. Since I barely even know you, I don't know if I can trust you. Not to be mean or anything," she said getting closer to me which I thought was adorable.

" Alright, it's your choice," he replied sadly, slowly walking away.

I then heard a sigh and turned to look at (Y/N), who was looking up at the night sky.

"(Y/N)? Are you alright?" I asked putting a hand on her shoulder.

"U-uh y-yeah I'm fine," she stuttered.

"Shall we go now?"

"Ok. Come on and let's go!"

(Y/N)'s POV:

Why am I always so nervous around him? And why do I stutter when I talk to him? Wait it can't be, can it? D-do I like him? I need time to make sure though.I wonder if Zen feels the same. No, he would never like a commoner like me, would he? I thought.

"Of course, I would like you. You should know better than to question if I would like a commoner. Everyone knows that identity means nothing to me. " Zen replied a bit surprised that I even thought that.

"W-wait. How did you know what I was thinking?"

"You simply speak out loud, my dear."

"Oh sorry about that," I said looking away so he wouldn't see my tomato red face.

"That is simply alright. And, (y/n), please look at me. Even if you don't face me, I still know that you're blushing." He chuckled.

"Hrm," I mumbled since I was covering my face. Then I suddenly heard gunshots echoing through the clear night sky.

Zen had immediately grabbed my wrist and ran to where the sound came from.

After running across the castle grounds for a while, we stopped at the forest entrance.

"Do you think they're in there?" I whispered.

"It has to be, right? We both heard the sound coming from this direction." Zen replied.

"But it's nighttime and the chances of us being able to spot them are low. And besides, tonight isn't even a full moon." I reasoned.

"Then what do you suggest we do then, (y/n)?"

"I say that we either wait until daytime or one of us goes back to the castle, get some guards then come back and look for those people." I suggested.

"By daytime they'll probably be gone by then. And if one of us leaves to get the guards, what will happen to the other person?"

As soon as he had said that I knew that I wouldn't be able to answer so I looked down avoiding his gaze once again.

"Well we could just go together?" He suggested looking away from where I stood. But either way I could see a hint of pink creeping onto his cheeks.

"Aww. Is someone blushing?" I teased.

"D-damare!"

"Anyway, we should probably start looking for guards."

"Okay. By the way, do you know where Erai went off to?"

"I'm not sure. Sorry" I replied shrugging.

"Let's go," He said, grabbing hold of my wrist and slightly pulling me along with him.
