March 19th
We were driving. I was a college honor student and my sister, Sadie was a high school dropout do to family issues. It was with our mom and I didn't like talking about it. The lonely road that we were still on was through flat cornfields. We were heading north towards Norman to see our cousin Carnell. He was a character, he was the clown of the family. The road was approaching a bend. We were of course jamming to our song we had grown up with, Son Of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield. It was me and Kenzies song, we can remember momma puttin' on the vinyl and we would go to sleep to that song. We were on the Oklahoma line when I noticed a peculiar light in the sky above. I asked Kenzie if she was seeing the same thing and she nodded her head in awe. It wasn't like a plane or anything, but at the same time my brain was just telling me it was a plane. I shut my eyes and just like that it's gone. I look to right around where it was and I see two lights. I look over more, towards the source and it's two bright lights coming from behind us. The lights got worryingly close and we made out the source was a big truck, just before it slammed into us.
It had to be about an hour or two later. We were in a bunker or basement. I looked over and was greeted with a charming young man. He spoke with a voice as soft as a peaceful rain. I still didn't know where I was, or even who this guy was, and where I even was. Yet I still trusted this seductive stranger. He inched closer and introduced himself as a Max Davidson. He went into to extensive detail about his hometown, somewhere here in Texas and his age and family. I don't know why he did that but it made me feel secure. It was at this moment I realized I hadn't seen Sadie, no where. I asked him about sadie and he brushes it off and get closer to me, I didn't know weather to be attracted or creeped out. That's when I hear her scream. The scream. It changed everything about this situation. It was like my world was falling apart around me. I, Kenzie Springfield might die at the hands of a seductive stranger. That was really what it was looking like at this point, until I walked out of my door. The bunker itself is really nice, it's like a house but alittle more rundown. I could live here, especially with him. Thats when I remembered Sadie's scream. It had come from somewhere and I was gonna find out where. I ran away from Max's grasp. He started chasing me with profanities and I followed the screams of pain by sadie. It was awful. Max was still behind me. I go to a room with a locked door and see my sister through a small window. She was, she was dying. I was bangin on the darned door for at least 30 seconds as I watched my sister die. Max was close and he had a gun. He must have stopped to get it or something. I was standing there as he was aiming it at me, the gun went off.
