The Plant

The New Bond

It was a new bond. We had some people that actually wanted to help in this situation. It was reassuring. They told us we were being held in "The Plant". That's what they called this place. We didn't know much about it. We weren't from around here. We were city girls from Houston. We were far from home. It was late and we fell asleep. So did Cash and Bailey. It was later and I heard a loud thud. Their was absolutely no light whatsoever. Another thud. Two more thuds. The only light is a very little moonlight coming in from a small window. I get up to go check it out. Everyone else is lying down. I walk out of the room and nothing seems out of the ordinary. A burst of light comes with another thud. Its a gun and the bullet is flying towards me. I duck and the bullet misses me and I'm expecting to hear a glass shatter but instead I hear a moan in pain. I look back to see my sister, Sadie down and bleeding on the floor. I speed walk over to this shooter. I had a weapon of my own. A bat I'd found and put nails in and I wasn't afraid to use it. He steps into the light and I can tell its Max. The hatch is open and William is climbing out. I Drag Sadie's still but barely lively body back into the room and close the door. The shot had woken Cash and Bailey up. I fall down as soon as I get in the room. The wooden door is shot through by Willie's gun. Willy is short for William. I crawl back as far as I can. Bailey was trying to revive Sadie since her mom was a Nurse she knew more than any of us others. The door blows open at this point and me and Cash are dragged out of the room, leaving Bailey and my half dead sister in there. "We'll deal with you later" Willy says to Bailey and Sadie. The new bond was being broken apart by two ruthless killers. We tried to wriggle our way out of their grasp. We didn't succeed. We were going back underground. This time we knew their was something outside. So we had to believe them and stay calm down there because he probably wasn't gonna hurt us, right?
