This is a short but classic story, and I'm writing it from memory. Please forgive me if I don't do justice to this wonderful story.

One day, six year old Trevor was sitting at his dining room table, eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with his mother Lauren, who was quietly sipping her coffee.
And out of nowhere, Trevor says "Mommy, in glad you're my mommy."
Lauren smiles down at her son, and replies "And I'm glad you're my son."
"You're a lot better than my other mommy. She drank a lot. One day, she locked me in my room and I ate paint and I died." He said it as if it were nothing.
Lauren nearly spit out her coffee.
