I don't wanna be here... Tord thought as he closed his locker and rested his forehead against it tiredly.

"I know, right!?"

"It was so fun!"

"He even brought me chocolates!"

Everyone was talking about the dance and how much they enjoyed it. Except Tord. He was still pretty pissed at Tom for not showing up.

"Hiya, Tord! You're here early!" Matt walked up to him, holding hands with Edd.

"Yeah," the short chubby teen agreed. "We're usually here before you."

Tord shrugged and slung his backpack over his shoulder. He saw Tom in the distance walking towards them.

"I... I'm gonna go to class now." Tord stated and shuffled away.

"I wonder why he's acting like that?" Matt stroked his chin in thought.

"Tom didn't show up, remember?" Edd looked at him with a frown.

"Ohhhhh, now I remember!" He lied and chuckled nervously.

"Sure you do," Edd rolled his eyes good-naturedly right as Tom got there. "Hi, Tom."

"Hi!" Matt smiled.

Tom grunted in response and rubbed his eyes. His cheeks were red as if he had been crying and his hair was a mess.

"Tom, were you-?" Edd began.

"No." He snarled, glaring at the green clad male. "I never cry. So fuck off."

Matt glared back and Tom and stood in front of Edd protectively. "We should go." The ginger narrowed his eyes and dragged Edd away.

--Time Skip--

Tord walked out of class with his hands shoved in his pockets. He went to the lunch area and saw Tom already sitting at the table with Edd and Matt. He chewed his lip, pondering whether he should sit there or not. Then again, there was no where else to sit. Tord sighed and shuffled to the table. He sat down on the opposite side of Tom and Matt.

"...and I didn't get extra credit!" Matt was whining.

Just don't look at Tom, just don't look at Tom... Tord repeated to himself. He gazed at his lunch box, not feeling hungry. Tension hung heavy in the air once Matt had finished talking.

"So!" Edd broke the awkward silence and clasped his hands together. "I think we should all go somewhere together." He shot a glance at Tom and Tord. "Like, the mall, maybe. Y'know. As friends."

"I don't think I can-" Tord started.

"The mall it is!" Edd kicked his leg roughly under the table. Tord winced and nodded.

--Time Skip--

Tord waited by the entrance of the mall, patiently waiting for the others to show up. Edd and Matt hopped out of what he assumed was Edd's mom's car.

"Hi," Tord offered a small smile.

"Tom said he's on his way," Matt was holding onto Edd's arm like it was a pillow.

"Wow. You think he'll actually show up this time?" Tord asked sarcastically.

"Aw, don't be like that." Edd frowned.

"Whatever." Tord avoided his gaze and looked up at the darkening sky. Stars were starting to show up. Tom finally showed up and the four teens walked into the mall. For some reason Tom wanted to walk next to Tord.

They went in and out of stores, not planning to waste their money on expensive things. Edd had bought Matt a purple mirror, and Matt had bought Edd a cola-can plush.

"A COMIC STORE!" Edd suddenly squealed and dragged all of them over there.

Tord excused himself and made sure they weren't looking as he made his way over to the hentai section. He bit his lip, to hide a smile. Damn. I have all of these.

"Damn, and I thought you were innocent."

Is that-!? Tord spun around on his heel, met by a smirking Tom.

"I-I can explain!" Tord squeaked out, blushing profusely. Tom chuckled and shook his head, shoving his hands in his pockets. "P-Please don't tell the others..."

"I won't." Tom promised and gave him a reassuring smile.

Tord felt relief fluttering inside of him.

Maybe they would actually be friends again after all.

Or, maybe more than friends.
