I didn't wake up in my bed. Instead, I found myself surrounded by huge poisonous cobras 

advancing every second.

"What the fudge?!" I shouted.

I knew how to disintegrate objects by now, but having snakes advancing at you, especially 

when 

snakes are your one of your only phobias, was terrifying. I stood there petrified in my spot. The 

snakes were lurking closer and closer, until they were biting range. One snake started to open 

its mouth, wanting to sink it's venomous teeth into my leg. All of the sudden I saw a flash of 

green. Then a big white light.

I wake up in a cold sweat. I decide that's the smartest idea to get dressed and go to training.

After getting dressed I quickly run down stairs, trying to forget what had happened in my dream.

"Oh, hello sweetie, you better eat quickly Alliah and Kaiden are coming to walk with you," 

Mother informs me.

"Oh ok, but one question?" I ask.

"Fire away," she says.

"Who's Kaiden?" I ask.

"Oh, well I guess I forgot to tell you. He is Alliah's best friend, his Abilities are controlling Earth, 

teleportation, and alteration of memory, though he doesn't use the last one too much," she 

says.

I look down at my empty bowl of cereal I had been eating while Mother was talking.

"Ding- Dong," the door chimes. My mother scurries to go get the door.

I jerk my head up to look up at the people that just entered the house. I see Alliah in a black 

jacket, blue flowy top, black pants, and brown combat boots her hair had been pulled back into 

a ponytail. My eyes drift to the person next to her.

"Phoenix, meet Kaiden, he's one of my best friends," Alli says happily. The boy has dark brown messy hair and green eyes.

"Hello I'm Kaiden, but you can call me Kai," Kai says.

"Hey I'm Phoenix," I spit out.

"Wellllll let's get going or we're going to be late," Alli starts to usher us towards the door.

I hated this guy already.
