I was walking home from a party at my best friend (Bf/n)'s. The party had lasted a bit, no, a lot longer than I had though and it was really, really late. I was happy that my parents weren't home to see how late I was, but quite sad that they weren't there to pick me up. So here I was, in the moonlight, walking home at night. I lived very far from (Bf/n), who lived in the middle of (H/t), and no bus was going where I was this late.

My house laid about a mile away from (H/t), and to get there, I had to go through a dark forest filled with trees with thick leaves, making it completely dark on the path. I had always been scared of the dark, not the in-your-room-dark type, but the going-alone-in-the-dark type.

I had just entered the dark forest. The trees stretched up to the sky far above me with thick branches that blocked out the little light the moon gave. The path was dry and dusty from the lack of water. It hadn't rained for weeks, so everything was quite dry. Even the trees looked like they were dying, which made the forest look even scarier.

After getting halfway through the forest, I stopped. Here there were two options. I could go left, which lead straight home, or I could go right, which lead to a big clearing in the forest. Sometimes I would go there just to look at the stars. It was far away from the bright city, so it was the perfect spot.

Then suddenly, bright lights appeared to my right, followed by a loud "crash" and the earth shaking, knocking me over. At first, I was too startled to move, but my curiosity took control and I felt like I was dragged over to the lights.

The closer I got, the brighter the lights were. I noticed quickly where they were coming from; the clearing. The whole area was illuminated by blue lights. Somehow, the lights seemed to be familiar, but where had I seen them before? Then it hit me. The newspaper! There had been lots of articles about some mysterious blue lights above (H/t) lately.

I was about to go into the clearing to see what these lights really were, but then they suddenly disappeared and two voices appeared instead. I couldn't hear what they were saying, so I decided to get closer and hide behind a bush that was closer to the voices.

Well hid behind the bush, I was able to make out what they were saying. "Dammit! What's not broken on this stupid ship!" shouted a male voice.

"Relax, Quill, it's nothing that I can't fix," said a bit darker male voice.

"I sure hope so. Good thing we crashed here. The chances of us being spotted here are a lot smaller that if we would have landed closer to the city. Who know what the government would have done if they spotted the ship," said the first one.

The other one seemed to have stopped listening a while ago, because he was muttering to himself about some kind of shield or something. Who were these people? What kind of ship were they talking about? I had to take a peek, even just a small one. I slowly lifted my head over the bush and quickly wished I hadn't, but at the same time glad.

What I saw what unbelievable. In the clearing was a spaceship. It was huge! Smoke was coming out of what seemed like thrusters and various other parts of the ship. The ship itself were blue and red, had pointy edges, it even had a little fin on the top of it! On what I believed was the back, a ramp had been laid down. The ship had face planted into the clearing, but not without taking a few trees with it. The trees were burning and the flames seemed to spread fast.

After studying the ship for a while, I turned to look at the people who had talked. The first one was quite tall and had brown hair and light skin. He had something that reminded me of a red motorcycle jacket with a grey-blue west on. In his left hand he held a strange looking, grey helmet. In his right hand he held some kind of gun that spit out water to kill the flames. "Hey, Rocket, how bad is it?" the man said. I recognized his voice. It was the first man.
