Merry Christmas Marinette

Lila's back

Marinette is awoken by the sound of crashing above her and opens her eyes to see a boy clad in all black fall off her roof onto her balcony. He turns around and with a quick smile and shouts, "Good morning princess." Before leaping to the building across the road. A confused Marinette lies there trying to figure out what's going on. She is given an explanation a few seconds later when a fox like figure jumps in the direction Chat noir had ran. She bounds out of bed hastily and immediately shouts "Tikki spots on!" After that she joins the chase.

I've been being chased for about ten minutes now when I suddenly get my foot caught on a roof tile and fall onto a familiar balcony. I turn to see Marinette in bed with a startled look on her face. "Good morning princess." I shout before leaping away. I am aware of Lila closing in on me. She had just appeared outside my window this morning saying that we belonged together and that Ladybug wouldn't stand in the way. Anyway now I'm running for my life because I told her I'd never choose her over Ladybug or did I say Marinette. Well whatever I said has made her angry.

I can see Lila in the distance but I'm still not sure why she's here. I glimpse a black shape. It must be Chat. I watch him to see what direction he is traveling in and realise he's headed towards the Eiffel Tower. I also notice he is taking the longest route. I sprint along the rooftops, taking a different route to get there before him. When I start to run on the ground I call Chat using my yoyo. "Chat what's going on?" "Lila said she wants Adrien Agrest but because he rejected her she's come after me instead." He yells into his baton panicked, "She also said that because I'm not taken she can have me. M'lady I think we both know what we have to do here." "Do we really have to. I mean we have stopped her before surely we can do it again." I say desperately. "It's hard to explain but it's like she's stronger now, she can use her flute to clone herself all over the place now, definitely harder to beat. If we can figure out what she has that's been akumatised then we .... you know it will stall her long enough for you to grab it with your yoyo and me to destroy it with my cataclysm." "Surely I will need to use my lucky charm. I didn't have to for humiliator but he was an easy akuma." "Ok do it now and meet me at the Eiffel Tower I'll be there soon." He says. "Ok I'll see you there." I say before hanging up. "Lucky Charm!" I shout, then mutter, "You've got to be kidding me." Out of all of the things that could fall from the sky to help me lip balm did. I finally reach the Eiffel Tower and see Chat Noir's fighting off Lila with his baton. I quickly apply the lip balm then run towards them while spinning my yoyo. I then release it and swing up to Chat and start fighting alongside him. "Ladybug I'm sorry but this is basically the only way, it's at least the best way to stop her anyway." "Fine. Now pucker up you stupid cat." I say exasperated while pinning him to one of the beams of the tower and giving him a big kiss. That's what was meant to happen. That 'big kiss' turned into a bit more than that. When I started kissing him I was surprised it tasted sweet. Last time we kissed he had been under an akuma's control and it hadn't tasted like anything. His hands go to my waist and pulls me closer to him. I hear a gasp from behind me but ignore Lila. If she doesn't think he's taken I'll just have to show her otherwise.

She tastes just like I imagined she would, sweet. One of her hands had somehow found its way to my hair while the other tugged at my bell bringing me down to her level. As much as I want this kiss to continue I know we have to fight Lila. So I pull back to see two surprised faces. Lila just looks shocked and is trying to make full sentences while Ladybug has a half dazed, half stunned expression obviously surprised that I was the one to pull away first. "Quickly get her notepad in her pocket." I whisper to Ladybug urgently. She instantly springs into action whipping her yoyo out and snapping up the notepad before handing it to me. "Cataclysm!" I shout and bring my hand down on the notepad causing a black butterfly to appear. Ladybug captures it in her yoyo before finally saying, "Bye bye little butterfly." She stands there afterwards looking at her toes. "Well aren't you going to fix everything by saying Miraculous Ladybug?" "Ahhh well I guess I have to don't I?" She says reluctantly. "Yeah. Why does it matter?" I ask curious. "Well the lucky charm is a bit embarrassing." She mumbles. "It can't be that bad." I say before starting to chase her across the beams of the Eiffel Tower. "I will catch you my lady." I yell up at her as she swings upwards. "Never!" She screams back while laughing. She looks so beautiful when she is happy and relaxed actually she reminds me of someone but who? I continue to chase her until I sneak up behind her while she's hiding and pounce tackling her to the ground. We roll around while I try to pry open her hand. Suddenly Ladybug falls off the edge of the tower. "Ladybug!" I yell alarmed looking over the edge but not seeing anything. I'm on the verge of tears when I hear a whisper in my ear, "Boo!" Surprised and angry I use the same defence move I did the other time but this time lifting her before pinning her to wall holding her arms over her head with one hand. "Don't EVER do that time again. Ever." I command in a shaky voice. "I'm sorry Chat but I really don't want you to see the lucky charm, I mean of all the things a goddess could give me." She replies in a sincere voice while chuckling. I suddenly have a great idea. Using my free hand I tickle her side. She starts laughing uncontrollably. "Stop..... Chat", she manages between fits of laughter. While she tries to stop me her hands open preparing to bring them down. I quickly grab the object before she can realise what she's done. I take a step back and let her drop to the the beam I think I hear a hiss of pain but when I look up Ladybug is just looking at me annoyed. Now it's my turn to laugh. I sit down with my legs hanging over the edge and just laugh for about ten straight minutes while she stands above me with crossed arms. She snatches it out of my hand roughly. I fall forward and yell in surprise. I catch myself on a supporting beam and swing myself up behind her as she's yelling, "Chat! Chat! No this is all my fault." "Don't like getting a taste of your own medicine?" I ask with a smirk. She turns around furious. I point at the lip balm. "Seems like your Kwami knows what she's doing. I've got to go check on a friend I dropped by this morning." I say with a wink before taking off towards Marinette's house.

I quickly realise he's talking about me in my civilian form. I hurriedly use Miraculous Ladybug, then, taking the fastest route towards my house swing from building to building. I just make it home and detransform in time to hear a knock on my window. I gesture for him to come inside. "I can't stay princess I was just coming to see if you were ok." "Well I'm quite entertained actually I saw you and Ladybug on TV. That is quite a show you put on there." I say curious as to how he would react. I turn to see him looking at his feet with a hand scratching the back of his head and blushing. "Ummm.. y-y-y-yeah. Uhh sorry about that." I just stare at him astonished. "Sorry? What are you sorry about?" Before he could answer I hear a beeping. Chat looks relieved and says, "I'll come over tonight again to check your leg. Bye." He dashes out onto the balcony then jumps across the roofs until he is out of sight.

"That's weird." I say to Tikki as I enter my room after getting some cookies. "Not really Marinette. I think Chat feels bad because he's starting to like you." Tikki replies her energy restored once again. I sit on my chaste and start to unbind my ankle, "That's silly Tikki I mean what has he done to show he likes me? Anyway there's nothing special about me I'm just clumsy" "Well first of all he apologised for kissing another girl, he comes over every night to check on you, even after that battle he did too, he took the time to say good morning to you even though he was being chased and so many other times." Tikki lists with a look of superiority. I wince when I see that my ankle has gotten a little worse after Chat dropped me on the Eiffel Tower then reply, "I guess he could like me. I haven't really ever thought about it before I've been so focused on Adrien. What if I like Chat too?" I say starting to panic. "It's ok Marinette." Reassures Tikki, "It's going to be fine just trust me." "Ok Tikki." I answer tiredly while yawning, "I'm just going to take a nap."
