Merry Christmas Marinette

Chloe Part 2

Last time:

Jumping off Chloe's shoulder I run after Marinette. I enter the alley I think she went into when I halt, there kissing Mari is Nathaniel. What is he doing? I thought Mari liked me. "Mari?" 

I say desperate to get a response but she just continues what she's doing, "Mari please answer me." She just makes the kiss more heated. I start to walk backwards when I see something further into the alleyway, a body. I sprint forward concerned about who it might be. I crumple to my knees weeping when I see her masked face. "No Ladybug. What happened to you? Who did this?" I say furious. I suddenly hear my name from above, "Chat?" There she is my beautiful Ladybug who continues by saying, " What are you doing? There's nothing there." I stare up at her then back down at the dead Ladybug in my arms before turning to see Nathaniel still kissing. "You can't see them?" "Who?" "Well obviously you being dead is an illusion that only I can see because you're right there." I say bracing myself to the answer to my next question, "You don't see Marinette and Nathaniel making out behind me?" "What? No!" She says starting to laugh then abruptly stops, "Oh my god Lila and ....!" She whispers but thanks to my cat hearing I can pick up Lila's name. I wonder who she saw with Lila. We quickly head back to Chloe who is standing there yelling Marinette's name. I let out a breath I didn't know I'd been holding, Marinette got away. "How do we defeat it?" "I think it's her bracelets." Ladybug yells back. She starts to advance but I stop her with my arm. "This is a powerful akuma. I think you should use your lucky charm." "Ok." She replies obviously shocked I was the one that came up with the idea, "LUCKY CHARM!" A LifeSize cardboard cutout of Adrien falls from the sky. "You have got to be kidding me." I say. "Ok how could this distract her I mean him in general isn't." I start laughing, "You could make out with it that would definitely get her attention." Ladybug just frowns. "Isn't Adrien a Ladybug fan?" "Uh yes." I reply confused as to why it's relevant. "Well wouldn't me just walking towards him threaten someone who loves Adrien? I'm sure it would distract her long enough for you to destroy the bracelets." "Uh ok." "Go place the cardboard cutout over there." She says pointing. I leap over the rooftops then drop to the ground, placing the cardboard cut out. I back away so I'm just out of Chloe's sight before yelling, "LADYBUG!" I jump onto the roof to see Ladybug looking astonished at my Adrien impression. I run around the back of Chloe as she sees what's going on and starts to walk forward, "No Adrikins ignore her, she's nothing." She yells. I'm furious first Marinette now Ladybug. "Cataclysm!" I yell then swipe at the bracelets, destroying them. Ladybug quickly turns whipping out her yoyo and capturing the akuma. "Bye bye little butterfly." She says letting a white butterfly go. I walk up to her and say, "What next? No one but us know they were just illusions." "You'll see I have connections." She says smiling like she knows something I don't, "Miraculous Ladybug! Bye Kitty." She says. I stare after her, only Mari calls me Kitty.

I knock on Alya's door. Her brother, Stewart answers, "Hello Ladybug." "Hi I'm looking for Alya." "Alya's in her room and says she doesn't want to talk to anyone." "Trust me she wants to hear this. Can I come in?" "Mum there's a stranger at the door!" Stewart yells. His mum rushes round the corner only to slow her pace when she sees me then says, "Hello Ladybug what can I do for you?" "Well I'd like to talk to Alya, please it's urgent." "Ok she's upstairs but she's not in a great mood."

I walk upstairs to where Alya's mother pointed but I already knew where to go. I knock on the door and hear, "Go away!" , followed by a sniffle. "Alya it's Ladybug. I need your help." I say desperately. Instantly the door opens and I see Alya standing there wiping her eyes and putting on a brave face. "What can I do?" She asks. I look at her pleased that she's going to help even though I had no doubt she would and reply, "Well today's akuma had the power to make you see things that would make you depressed about your love life but they were just illusions. I need to spread the word so people know there loved ones didn't cheat on them or get injured or anything like that and I was wondering if I could do that on the Ladyblog. I would happily organise an interview with Chat noir and I in return." Alya looks over the moon with happiness but I'm not sure if it's because of me or the news. "I'd be happy to have you on my blog. Do you want to film the video now?" "Yes that would be good." "Ok one second I'll just get my phone." She comes back a minute later ready to film the video then to my surprise she asks, "Ladybug who did you see?" "Ahh I saw my crush being kissed by a girl that took him away from me for a while once. What about you?" I ask shyly. "I-I saw my best friend Marinette kissing my soon to be boyfriend, Nino. We were gonna tell Mari and Nino's best friend Adrien after school that we are gonna start dating and I thought he had changed his mind but now I know it wasn't him so I'm ok." I have to keep my reaction inside as to not give away my identity but ew, gross me kissing Nino. My best friend is so strong if she is already ok too. "Ok let's film it now." I say and Alya nods pressing record on the phone. "Hello citizens of Paris I asked for this to be filmed because I need to let you know whatever you think you saw your loved ones do it was just an illusion caused by the most recent akuma. So please do not believe they actually did that because I'm sure whatever they did they would never actually do in real life. And if you saw them hurt I can promise you they aren't. Thank you." After Alya stops recording I continue by saying, "And thank you, Alya, for doing this. I will see when I can get Chat noir so you can interview both of us. When are you available?" "I'm happy to do it whenever you like." "Ok I'll swing by in the next two weeks to tell you the dates we could do it. I've got to go now and thank you for all you've done." I say when I hear a beeping from my earrings. I wave and swing out her window and quickly land in an alley near by just as I detransform. I then run home wanting to get Tikki some food. As soon as I open the door someone hugs me almost knocking me over. It's not my dad cause he's much bigger and it's not my mum because she shorter so who's hugging me. As they pull back my eyes widen, "Adrien?" I ask confused. He just says, "Remember I'm here for you to measure me so you can make your designs. I thought you were hurt when you weren't here so I called your phone and you didn't answer and I started to panic I'm just glad you're alright." I then notice when he pulls back he's almost crying. I sooth him by rubbing his arm and saying in a calming voice, "I'm fine Adrien I'm right here." "I know, I know it's just. What I saw." "Oh Adrien on the Ladyblog it has a v-" "Yeah I've seen it but I'm still a bit shaken." "Come on let's go upstairs so I can measure you." We head upstairs and into my room. By the time I've found my tape measure he's calm and collected. "So," he says as I measure his arm, "do you mind me asking what you saw?" "Um mine was my crush kissing another girl." I answer hoping he won't ask more. "Yeah mine too but because I really like Ladybug you know in a celebrity crush sorta way I saw her too." Wait a minute isn't that what Chat saw? No no he saw me and... Oh.. My....GOODNESS. Chat likes me that much? But I bet a lot of people saw me as Ladybug. It's no big deal. "Marinette. Mari" I hear and snap back to what I was doing. "Ahh sorry got a bit distracted." We talk for a while about school before Adrien asks me what I want to be when I'm older. "I want to be a fashion designer." I answer. He nods and asks, "Have you ever thought of modelling your designs or who's going to model them?" Startled I look at him quickly before continuing my measuring. "No I'm not really pretty enough to model so maybe you can model more of my designs." I say sadly, "The truth is I've always dreamt of modelling my own designs but I know I'm not pretty enough so I kind of let those dreams go." Adrien replies, "Of course you're pretty enough! You're beautiful why don't you model your designs with me I'm sure I could convince my dad to let you." I look at him even more surprised then reply suddenly exhausted, "No I don't want to ruin my chances by having me modelling the designs." Adrien looks at me surprised and almost angry but let's it go knowing I'm not going to change my mind. Now comes the awkward part I've measured the top half of the body now for the bottom. I don't really care but Adrien seems to be squirming. "Oh stop squirming don't you get this done to you all the time?" I say exasperated. "Yes." Adrien says hesitantly then seems to have a boost of confidence and continues, saying, "But not by a cute sixteen year old girl." I stand up, now done and punch him in the arm and say, "Oh shut up." He rubs his arm with a fake look of pain on his face and crumples to the ground ending up lying on his back, "Oh Mari you wound me. I will never walk again." "I punched your arm not your leg silly." I say. "But how will I be your knight in shiny armour if I can't even fence." He says dramatically "Well maybe a fair maiden like me doesn't need a knight in shining armour." I retort. "Well I guess if you have a punch like that you won't." He says. "That's right kind sir I am stronger." "No your not!" Says Adrien losing his old accent. "Uh yeah I am!" I say flicking my hair that I had taken down again. "Really prove it!" Adrien says laughing while getting up off the ground. "Ok then ready set go!" I yell and we attack each other with pillows and it all ends up with me sitting on his stomach while he tries to push me off. "Yeah I won!" I shout with triumph. "Not quite yet." Adrien says and pushes me so I roll to the side and he then sits on my stomach and holds my wrists against the floor. "Hey!" I say laughing and he just laughs along with me. We suddenly hear a voice coming from beneath the hatch and Adrien jumps off me and helps me up lighting fast so when my mum comes in we're just standing next to each other. "Marinette." My Mama says coming through the hatch, "Is Adrien staying for dinner?" "Are you?" I ask turning to face him. "Ahh no sorry I wish I could but my dad wants me home." "Ok." I say slightly disappointed. "Actually it's probably time I should leave. I'll text Natalie and she'll come pick me up." We wait about ten minutes before we hear a car beep outside. "Ok bye Marinette. See you tomorrow." He says waving before running out the door and hopping in the limo.
