Chapter 2~Preparation

Ding Dong !!!

Ugh, who's that so early in the morning.

'Sapp there's mail for you', my mom shouted from downstairs.

I'll be down soon mom.

I quickly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face.

After doing that I ran downstairs.

Good morning mommy.

'Good morning Sapp', she greeted me with her beautiful smile.

So mom where's the mail.

It's on the kitchen counter dear.

I walked over to the table and took the mail in my hand,When I opened it I saw that it was the instructions that miss Jones sent.

Wow, she really wasn't kidding when she said "first thing in the morning". I said in my mind.

I carefully read the instructions of the working as a waitress.

The instructions clearly emphasize on how to be the best waitress and to be honest it was a lot harder than i thought.

Today was Wednesday so that means I had a couple of days left before I started working.

I decided to call my Bestfriend, Kennedy. We've been best friends for long ,long time now.

I dialled her number and she picked up on the second rang.

"Hello",she answered.

"Ken, are you free I really miss you and I have some good news to tell you".

"Really", Of course I'm free want to 've over", she asked but I know she is literally begging me to come over.

Yeah, sure.

With that said I hung up and want upstairs to tell mom that I was going over to Ken's house.

I walked back downstairs to the front door and stepped outside.

I had a car but I decide to walk instead,her house is like a twenty minutes from my house.

The walk to her house was quiet and peaceful, I enjoyed that walk.

As walked up to the front door of her house the door flung opened and Ken came running into me.

I laughed as she wrapped her arms around me Squeezing the guts out of me.

"Woah Slow down there tiger".

"Took you long enough to get here", she said.

"Well Hello to you too", I said

"So what's the good news",she squeal

"Is it a boy"

"No Ken",i rolled my eyes.

'ever sinced my huge breakup with my ex boyfriend Alex, which was two years ago I've never talked to another boy'.

"Then What's the news",she asked snapping me back to reality.

"I got a new job at miss Jones coffee shop".

Her face literally lit up when I said that.

"Omg Sapp that's great when do you start".

Monday.

"Well that's great, I'm so happy for you".

Ken

"Am I ever going to get over my heartbreak and start over again", I broke down in tears when I said that.

"Oh Sapp I'm so sorry that you had to go through this but you are going to get over it someday and find someone who will love and cherish you for who you are".

Hearing what she had to say didn't make me feel better but I didn't showed it.

I sighed and told her that I'm going home. She hugged me and then I left , feeling emotional.

As I reached home I went straight inside , mom looked as if she had left, which I was thankful for because I didn't wanted her to see that I was sad and with that I went straight to bed.
