Chapter 2:

As usual, I grabbed my sleepy son off of the couch and took him into his room.
I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, "Daddy check for monsters under my bed." I look underneath for his amusement and see him, but not on his bed, under it, staring back at me quivering.
He then whispered to me, "Daddy there's somebody on my bed."
