What is Divinity?
The humble yet enigmatic question leaves me wondering how many paradigms of a single concept can exist. There exist multiple realms, some simple, overrun by the naive and foolish, others divine, ascended to greater consciousness and existence.
That's the traditional definition, anyway.
Of the divine realms, there are three species of governance, each allowed their own realm. You'll recognise these names; Angels, Fairies and Unicorns.
Do not be misled by the teachings of your customs, the realm you belong to only knows one side of a multi-planar story.Even though these creatures are Beings of Divinity, this is not synonymous to being good and holy. The Divine lost this long ago.
I can safely say the governing bodies of each realm is as tyrannical as the next. They wish for nothing but bloodshed; War.
Let's not ramble on about why...Angels are not holy; they are militarised hypocrites. An Angel on a good day will still have a grimace covering half their face. Silence is revered and strictness glorified. Blind to their cynical ways, they believe they are Blessed.
Fairies are not civil; they are barbaric and savage. Fairies are in no sense of the word, fair. They live to kill, and in honesty, the kill to live. Think vampires, but they drink the life force of their victims, including other fairies. Rampaging among endless forests, they have no sense of law or temperance. Blind to their brutish ways, they believe they are Blessed.
Unicorns are not majestic; they are basic animals. They're civilised, though just as much basic. I once met a Unicorn Scholar, groomed, prim and pristine, mane flowing in the wind... not at all representative of the reality of normal Unicorns, their society or their habitat. You might say they have some form of sapience, but experience leads in the opposite direction. Blind to their animalistic ways, they believe they are Blessed. In any universe, nations are destined to feud.
And thus, the Blessed War clutches the Divine realms.
