Jason's PoV:

I walked down the long sad grey sidewalk and on to the local music store. They sold old vinyl records, a huge record player, and obviously, a bunch of CD's and iTunes gift cards.

So as I continued on I thought about my life up  to this point. I'm about to turn 25 tomorrow and I want to treat myself to a new playlist.

As the sky turns another shade of an awkward blueish pink, I turn onto the huge square where, in almost the center, off-right a little bit, sits the Music Escape.

I love this place. I come here to clear my head. As I walk in, I hear the cheery ringing of the bell above the door, signaling a customer has walked in. The guy behind the counter is about to start his spiel, the on he does for every customer, when he sees it's just me. Joe smirks and says "Happy Birthday" and rolls his eyes. I laughed and walked through the aisles, welcoming the scent of cardboard and the sounds of the vinyls being played on the old record players.

As I am looking through the vinyls, at a Bob Dylan set, when the bell sings again. Joe at the counter prepares for his speech, but stops when he notices the girl and smiles as she walks in and gave him a small nod, not neither of them saying anything.

Weird, I thought. Oh well, she must be another regular.

She walked over to Billie Holiday, just a few down feet from where I was standing. She looked over when she saw me staring and she smiled. She walked up and said, "Hi. I'm Aiden."

"I'm Jason." I replied, she seemed familiar, but since Joe didn't say anything to her, she must be a regular. I've probably seen her here before.

Aiden's PoV:

He seems familiar. I can't put my finger on it, but when I saw him looking at me I decided, What the heck? I might as well talk to him.

He has the greatest smile. One of those male model types. He seems kinda perfect. He has this great tall, dark, handsome thing going for him and internally, I giggled thinking of how often girls must think of him like that.

But, what is he doing in a music store with those looks? Must be more to what meets the eye.... I thought to myself as I walked over and introduced myself. He wasn't getting any help from Joe so he must be a regular.

Soon, we start discussing our music preferences and it turns out we like some of the same music. How ironic! We both listen to blues, like Bob Dylan and Billie Holiday, but we both found out that we also listen to other genres as well.

After a while, we ended up parting ways, but I had felt like I had known him longer than just those few hours we spent at the music shop.

As I was walking down the old grey sidewalk towards the coffee shop to pick up my coffee to warm me up for my walk home, I started to remember him...

Flashback

Aiden's PoV: (continued)

We were walking towards the town carnival, we had just gotten out of his truck. It was a tan, 2000 Toyota Tundra, with cloth tan interior, and a black blanket laying across the small backseat. The truck sat 5 people comfortably, but you could put another person where the center console is because it goes up and a seat belt comes out from in between the seats, creating three seats in the front and three in the back.
