I have to leave her...Why do my parents have to move?

 "Hey hey, Vinni!" Lucie squeals, running up to me.

I smile and bring her to my chest. Has she always been this cute 9 year old?

"I'm turning ten tomorrow! So ill be a year younger than you! You better show up okay!" She squeals, pushing away from me to show me her joy.

Just like a kitten... She's adorable

"Stop yelling, sure Ill show up. I'm not one to lie right." I smile, putting my facade on.

After all I do lo-

"Lu-lu! Lucie! Luriii," a voice shouts, "Come on! Vinni needs to head back."

Lucie looks towards her door, then looks up at me, pouting. Then she holds on to my sleeve.

"Vinni..." Lucie mummers.

I look at her questioningly.

"Please...show up tomorrow...Your not yourself..." She quietly whimpers.

I feel my heart crush, this is too painful. Its too much, but I can't tell her. I can't keep this facade up...

"I will..." I whisper back, popping a kiss on her cheek.

Instantly her mood brightens, as she gives me a huge hug then runs off inside.

"I will... make sure to come back..." I mutter, feeling as if I could collapse any minute.

I lied, lied to the one I loved the most. I lied to my dearest Lucie. With that, I turn.

To leave her.
