Chapter 11: My thoughts on Marco

Chapter 11 Introduction

(A/N the normal text will be the things that are written in the book. The rest is the present in the real life. All story is written in Marco's POV unless said otherwise)

Gone. Star is gone. I felt my heart breaking into a million pieces as her room disappeared.

I was left in the room alone with my thoughts. I couldn't believe what had just happened. Star had thrown at me this giant bomb that had blown up in my face. She did have a crush on me.

Then she simply left. Taking everything with her. What now? It all seemed like a dream but the hole in the roof proved it hadn't all been my imagination.

Should I go after her? If so, what do I tell her? "Sorry Star, I needed to come after you because..." because what? She didn't tell me why she had left. Maybe she had a really important reason to do so. I would probably make things worse by going after her. Besides, I don't really know what to think anymore. Star having a crush on me? Since when? How? Ugghhhh everything was just wrong.

"She's gone, isn't she?"

I wasn't even surprised when I heard Jackie's voice behind me. I nodded.

"Look Marco, I understand you will need some time to figure this out. If you need me, just call and I'll be there."

Then she left.

I went to my room and fell headfirst on my bed, but instead of feeling my soft pillow, my head hit something hard. I got up and instantly recognised it as Star's journal. The journal she told me to never read. Had she left it there on purpose? Should I read it?

I can't say I'm not curious... besides, understanding Star's thoughts may help me understand my own.

I sat down and got ready to read a certain chapter of the journal: Chapter 11.

Without wasting any more time, I started reading.

Chapter 11  My thoughts on Marco

I met Marco on the first day of school. Somehow the principal knew we'd be the best of friends, and it's true, we were!

"Awww, that's cute!" I said aloud.

"Shut up and keep reading Diaz!" I thought and then carried on to reading Part 1 of Chapter 11.

A/N I know this was a short chapter but future ones will be longer. Most chapters will be all about the journal although some may be a bit about what's happening to Marco whilst he reads.
