The snow fell in large flakes, quickly covering your hair in a sheet of white. It had been snowing for quite a while now, and perfect snowman snow coated the earth, crunching under your snow boots.  He watched from the top of the swings, admiring how you smiled up at the sky. You thought you were alone, no one daring to come to the park due to the quickly accumulating snow.

"Why won’t you believe in me?" he muttered sadly. You were so beautiful, even the crystalline snow and lace frost became ugly to him. He wanted to know you, what you thought, how you felt. But you didn’t believe and so you couldn’t see him. You spun around a few times with your arms spread wide before finally laughing and falling backwards into the snow. You heaved in a chilly breath, then let it out, watching as the steam evaporated into the lovely grey air.

"I love the snow," you mused, "I wish it snowed more often." You sighed and watched your breath evaporate once more. “Thanks for the snow Jack Frost.” Jack shook his head,

“How can you thank me when you don’t even believe?” he asked softly as he jumped off the swings and floated over to where you were. He hovered above you, watching your (e/c) eyes stare up at the sky in wonder. “Why don’t you believe?” Jack reached down to touch your face, but, as he figured, he passed through you. Jack’s brows knitted together and a certain rage boiled in him. This caused the wind to pick up and the sky to blacken. The snow began to fall harder; you were vaguely frightened upon seeing this and sat up. Your head passed through Jack, bringing more annoyance to the spirit, before you stood. Quickly looking about you, you started to make the short trek back to your house, your transparent admirer following you.

“How is it out there, sweet heart?” asked your mother as you entered the house and quickly began to discard clothing items.

“I-It’s cold. It looks like a blizzard out there!” you exclaimed, “everything’s black and it’s snowing really hard.” Your mother laughed at you,

“____, we don’t get blizzards around here.”

“Whatever,” you grumbled and bounced upstairs. You quickly changed into sweat clothes, then snuggled beneath a comforter as you lounged on your window seat.

“I’ll make you believe,” Jack growled from his perch on your bed, “somehow, I will make you see me. And when I do, I’ll make sure you always believe.”

For days after this one, the snow kept falling; heaps and heaps of snow accumulated. You had no school, the snow falling faster than clean up could handle. You went out and played when you could, when the snow died down. However, just seeing you enjoying the snow with him still invisible angered Jack and so the snow picked up again. It wasn’t long before it was almost impossible to get out the door.

It was about a week later; you sat in your room, curled on your bed with your favourite book, when something hit the window with a splat. You looked at it, caked on the window was snow. Slowly, a message began to write itself.

You read the message out loud slowly. You stared confused at the glass.

“Believe in Jack Frost?” you asked, “but – I already do.” The message cleared itself then more snow was thrown at the window.

You cocked your head at the window, the message confusing you.

“Believe until I see? What’s that mean?” you asked, you got up and headed towards the window.  You slowly raised your hand to the window, but it blew open before you even touched in. The open window caused all the snow that had been on the glass to fall into your room.  You squealed as frigid snow fell on your feet. You felt two hands plant themselves on your back and shove. Suddenly, you found yourself tumbling out of the window and down into the blizzard below.

Landing in a snow drift, you looked dazed up at the black sky. Hovering over you was a figure with snow white hair, pale skin and icy blue eyes in a blue hoodie. He had a staff in his hand and an annoyed expression on his face.

“Wh-Who are y-you?” you stuttered, the chill already setting in. He smirked, then chuckled some. Soon that chuckle turned into a maniacal laughter and the boy held his stomach.

“Who am I? Who am I?!”he bellowed, “I am Jack Frost.” Your breath hitched as you stared at the seemingly insane boy,

“Jack Frost,” you whispered, your breath coming out shaky. Jack smirked,

“That’s right, and like it or not you’re going to be my snow queen. Say ‘goodnight,’ _____.” With that he raised his staff, waved it around and you blacked out as a freezing wind pushed the air out of you.

When you woke up it was night time. The full moon was high above you and around you sat snow but you weren’t cold. You sat up and looked around, then your eyes landed on a boy in a blue hoodie perched on a rock. Your eyes widened as you remembered what happened. Quietly, you tried to get up and run away but something around your neck tugged you back down.

“I see you’re up. Do you like your collar? It appears the Man in the Moon is allowing me to keep you as a pet,” he teased, striding over to you. You put a hand on your throat to find a collar with a frosted rope going from it to Jack. You tugged at it, panicking. “You can try all you want, but you’re not going to get away.”

“Wh-What do you want from me?” you asked, scooting away to the end of your chain.

“I want you to be with me for eternity,____.”

“H-How do you know my name?” Jack began to come closer to you, causing you to scramble farther.

“I’ve watched you for a while and you’re prettier than the frost. I’ve wanted you, but you didn’t believe in me until the end.” Jack yanked on your rope, pulling you towards him until you two were face to face. “But now you’re mine for eternity. Your human life is over, no barrier to stop us now. You’ll help me bring winter to the mortals. You’ll be my lover as well. For I have brought you into this spirit world, I can take you out just as easily. You belong to me now...my snow queen.” With that Jack kissed you, and a frozen tear slid down your cheek.
