"Well I'm always up for a good story, of course you don't have to tell me, considering we just met and all. Am I rambling?" Ashely asked, biting down upon her lips as she studied Loki, from the slimness of his face, body, to the dullness of his eyes. "Can I ask you something?" She piped up once more, this time nervously for she didn't know if this question would trigger him. However, the brunette was indeed sure that nothing would go to wrong, well she was about 50% sure, but that's wasn't the point.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Loki wasn't paying attention to say the least, he was lost elsewhere, wondering if there would ever be a chance for him to go join his mother, or would he be sent to Hel, the place people like himself go to riot, to be forgotten by everyone, though he bet his daughter wouldn't mind it. Sighing heavily, the fallen prince pushed his cup aside, hues focused upon the window, not a word coming from his thin lips for he didn't wish to speak nor be here matter of fact. He wished to be gone, no longer suffering, but surely that would be to easy, barely a punishment for he would of been dead long ago if that was the case. "Ask away" he spoke quietly.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ashely took a deep breath, taking the chance as she rested her hand upon his, wondering if it was even her place to ask such a question, though that little thought didn't stop her from doing just that. "D-do you happen to be thinking of well, you know, ending it? I only assumed because you wouldn't move from the road" she finally asked, hoping she worded it right, or at least in a way that didn't offend him. This was mercer racking to say the least, but something about this all only made the young woman want to help this stranger, for she was in the position not to long ago.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Yes" was all Loki said before removing himself from the chair, another sigh leaving his lips as he gazed over at Ashely, eyes saddened, soul detached. "I very much wish to go, but that wouldn't be good enough" he stated, turning his heel as he left the little cafe and made his way back to the inn, his bones aching from lack of everything, his eyes growing more tired for sleep wasn't his friend, nightmares consuming him. It was odd for Loki to be this way, to feel like nothing was worth it, that he had no place within these realms. Why would he? He was a pawn of a sick game, someone who was desperate enough to blindly follow orders, to fall into hands he could not escape. He was stupid enough to let his hate, jealousy, his loneliness get the better of him. All the once god ever wanted was to be an equal, to be respected and not tossed aside, to be seen as somebody of worth. Yet, he was none of that and surely that was the painful truth.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Loki was to lost in his thoughts, to focused on what his pathetic excuse of a life could of been like if he had done things differently, if he hadn't let greed, pleasure, rage take over, cloud his judgement. He was to drowned in self pity that he hadn't realized a speeding car coming straight for him, not able to stop in time. Just as Loki came back to his senses, it was to late, the car had hit him, causing him to fall back into the snow, vision slowly fading as mortals came running to his aid. Was this to be his end?All Loki could remember was his vision going black, the faded sound of voices surrounding him, the image of his mother, of Thor. Was he? It felt like so, felt like he was no longer of these realms, this life but something deep down old him otherwise. As he laid there, wondering what was going on, if anyone had came to help, though the young man wouldn't be surprised if no one had for he is far more used to it then people realize. It's something he has been through more times then anyone should, even for him he'd wouldn't wish this upon others, no matter how much he despised them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Gods. How long has it been? Hours? Days? Weeks? Loki didn't know nor was he sure he'd ever know. He felt himself fading slowly, whatever was left no gone as memories began to haunt his dreams, remind him of the life he once had, the life he could of had if he hadn't done the things he had. However, what stood out to the trickster was the day he was banished, the day the mighty all father thought this of punishment, beating him till he could move, his bones aching, cracking. He remembers seeing Thor there, his eyes averted from what was to be happening, Loki could feel that his 'brother' did not wish such upon him nor did he think it was right, but surely the god of thunder wouldn't stand against the all father. Instead he stayed silent. Loki could remember feeling the blood trickle down his body, staining the floor beneath him, head pound as he kept that smirk along his lips. He was not going to let them break his spirt, yet they had, to the point the once prince of a realm so pure, wanted to die. For good.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As more memories came and went, Loki could feel himself waking slowly, the sounds of things he has not heard before. Voices surrounding him as his vision slowly came back, though he swore his body was only there and not his spirit. His spirit was back upon Asgard, watching over a young maiden he had grown overly fond off, one he intended to win her heart over. A young servant, yet the trickster didn't see her as that. No, what he saw was beauty, life, someone who saw he for who he truly was, not what people made him to be. Loki had hoped one day he'd be able to take her to the gardens, name off all the flowers, their fingers laced as the moon would fall upon them, illuminating the others beauty even more so. He pictured this so many time, being truly happy, being able to call someone his queen, to hold them, to love them. But with one stupid decision, one wrong move, he no longer could have that. He had left someone important behind and it killed him to do so, she however deserved better and will ultimately find better. This saddened Loki, made him question his worth.
