Part 4

I kinda feel bad. I killed the poor wegles mother. I need to call a meeting. I have to make sure that no one tells him his father's alive! If he finds out... I can't help it, I need to read his mind. I fly up to a tree that looks down on the Dante's den. I reach into his mind with my own. I see Amethyst. Oh, she looks old in this memory. Maybe she was gonna die soon anyway? That's when it hits me. A vision of Dante's father sniffing around, a trail, a scent trail, and then attacking my camp strikes through me, and I fall off the branch. That's when I realize, lying in a puddle of mud, Dante can see the future. I gasp. I see Dante looking at me. I fly onto the roof of the prison. I hope Dante doesn't know I know. I have to talk to him. But first I need to call that meeting. I fly to the meeting rock then call out "If you are a rogue, yet wish to be lead, come, gather at the foot of this rock!" Everyone flew over, and some were very far, yet still everyone was here. Wait no. I turn to Ashfall. "Where's Withertail?" I snap. He shrugs. "I think she was hunting near the border of Snartyville, the one that connects to Argeyfall." "She's going to Argeyfall?" I ask. "Oh..." he said.  "No wonder I thought she was lying about the hunting patrol." I shake my head and think, some people here are just that dumb. I look down and see everyone is at my feet. I am there ruler, I must lead them right. "I have something very important to tell you all. Well for one, Amethyst is dead, and for two, Dante is Amethysts son." I hear a gasp ripple through the crowd. The shock coming from them, overflowing me like a wave in a storm. I wait for them too settle down before I speak again. "There is something you must not tell Dante. He must feel alone, lost, confused. He must feel pain. His father... is alive. But the boy must think he is dead. And we must move camp." I hear many murmurs when I say this. "His father will come looking for him, for us." I tell them. "We must go... to Argeyfall." I hear many gasps at this, some protests. "It is for the best!" I tell them. "No!" I hear several wegles yell. I shake my head. "You can come, or you can stay here. It is your choice. But Ragnar will come. He will be looking for his son. When he finds out Dante is gone. He will stop at nothing. He will kill you all. "  I say, then hop off the rock. "Gather your belongings, were going to Argeyfall. "
