It's our third night in Florida, and just like the last two nights I can't sleep. Out of the other nights, this is definitely the worst. I've tried everything. I counted sheep, listened to music, and even read Wattpad for a couple of hours to make me sleepy. Nothing was working. It's only 10:15 p.m. I was trying to go to sleep so I could wake up early tomorrow, but that didn't look like it was going to happen.

Finally giving up, I decided to slip on my vans and go for a walk. Grabbing my bag and room key, I try to be as quiet as possible, not wanting to wake up my mom.

Making it out successfully, I make my way to the beach. I walked for a while before seeing a bench swing and deciding to sit down. I sit there swinging back and forth, listening to the crashing waves while looking at the twinkling stars. I stand and walk to the water. The waves are so soothing, I feel like I could......

" Heads up!" A voice calls out.

Confused, I turn around to find the source of the voice, but instead I'm hit in the head by something hard. The sudden force causing me to fall on my ass.

"Ouch, fuck that hurt." I say to myself. Rubbing my head, I look over to find out that it was a football that hit me. Hearing footsteps approach me, I look up meeting eyes with the most beautiful human being I have ever met in my entire seventeen years of life. I am now just sitting in the sand, staring at the boy in front of me in awe. His chizled jawline looked like it was carved by the gods, his tan skin glistens in the moonlight, his eyes.... I can't tell if they are dark blue or grey. They are almost like a payne's grey. His thick wavy brown hair sways in the brisk sea air.

" Wow." I say aloud, only meaning to say it in my head. My face turns red with embarrassment. I look down letting my hair hide me from the godlike masterpiece in front of me.

" Are you ok?" The guy asks with concern laced in his voice while kneeling beside me.

Too embarrassed to even look up, I nod my head. He reaches out a hand to touch me, lifting my head up to meet his gaze. His eyes are truly amazing, and I become lost in them until he speaks again.

" It's okay, you don't have to be embarrassed." He says while caressing my cheek with his thumb. I almost lean into his touch until another voice calls out.

" Alex, what's taking soo long man? Hurry up and let's finish the game!"

Turning around, the guy , Alex I assume, yells back.

" Yeah, give me a minute." Turning his attention back to me, he gives me a half smile. "Here." he says, holding out his hand standing up. I accept his help and pull myself up.

"Are you sure you're okay?" he asks looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I just need to walk it off. I'm going back to my room anyways." I say taking a couple of steps, but I stumble, heading toward the ground again. Just as I am about to face plant into the sand, a pair of large arms wrap me in a warm imbrace saving me from more embarrassment.

" Take it easy, I've got you," he says catching and holding me. It's weird, but I feel safe in his arms. I know he is a complete stranger, but I feel like I know him, like I can trust him.

He stands with me in his arms, with a look of contemplation on his face. He steadies before letting go and the warmth instantly fades.

Meeting my eyes again, he says, " Stay here, I will walk you back to your room to make sure you are okay."

Before I could protest, Alex jogs away, going to talk to his friends I assume. Doing what he said, I stand there waiting for him to come back.

After a couple of minutes, I see him jogging back with a smile on his face. His smile..... man is it something. As he gets closer, I notice that he has dimples. The closer he gets, the weaker my legs become. There is no doubt that he has a six pack. I can still see his broad frame, even though he has a hoodie on. I wish I could see all of him...... Snap out of it dammit. Stop acting desperate, get your act together. This guy is trying to help you, not seduce you. You wouldn't mind it. The little voice in the back if my head says. It's not wrong, but that's not the point.
