"Dragons, dragons are coming." I feel someone grabbing me by the back of my shirt and screaming at me. "Get to the cellar. These dragons are tough, Reneir. Now go, hurry!!!" I start running to the cellar. On the way to the cellar, I can see through the window, fire blazing in the town and the screams of the town folks burning alive. When I was almost to the cellar the dragon snatches up the roof and breathes fire on my face. I feel the fire burning my flesh of my skin and the heat melting my eyes and my tongue.

"Ahhh!!" -Reneir wakes up and realizes it was nightmare- I calm down and sit up against a fallen wall brick near the fire.

"Another nightmare right?"

"Yes, Thea."

"The same one?"

"Ya." as I nod yes trying to catch my breath.

"The one when you were a child?"

"Ya, but it always changes at the end. That is the only thing that is different. I'm going to assume you felt it?"

"Yes."

As I get up and walk around the rundown ruins, I go to get my clothes from one of the rooms. I grab my sword and cloak and start heading towards the city. As I felt the sun on my skin, I see Thea, my eagle, coming to land on my shoulder.

"You headed towards the city?" Thea says

"Ya, I need to get some information about the dragons."

"Can you fly ahead to check for any Splicers near by?"

"I'm on it."

Thea flies ahead with her golden brown wings flapping through the wind. She is such a loyal eagle, I am so glad that I made a magical bond with her when I was growing up. But she is not like most eagles, she doesn't have white feathers on top of her head like most. She has black feathers instead, they are really hard to find. Our magical bond allowed us to share what is known as The Eagle eye. When I was growing up, some dragons went on a rampage and attacked my village. I was running to get to safety when a dragon came out of nowhere and tried to get me. He nearly did, he was able to leave me with a large scar that runs straight through my right eye. My right eye now can link up with Thea's and she can share information with me through telepathy.

I see Thea in the distance coming back

"All clear" she says while she lands onto my shoulder.

"Good, I'd hate to run into any Splicers on our way."

"Ya, those good for nothing demons."

"Let's keep moving." she says as she taps my head with her beak impatiently.

Splicers, those evil disgusting demons. They are always after my kind, mortals. I've got to be careful when I go places because you never know when one is going to jump out and murder you.

I got to the city and I started making my way towards the tavern. I enter the tavern and have a seat. The bartender gives me a drink while I start to eavesdrop. But I didn't get any information about the dragons. "I guess it's not a big day for information" I think to myself as I just continued to drink. But right when I was going to order another drink, I heard someone.

"So I was on my way to Treewood when I heard someone talking about how they spotted a dragon somewhere northeast of Baron's Watch." they said.

I got up and thanked the bartender for the drink and walked out. Thea rested on my shoulder as we headed our way back to the ruins.

"Are you planning on going near Baron's Watch?" Thea asked

"Ya."

"Then why are heading back to the ruins?"

"We've got to grab some things."

We get back and I head towards the room where the people used to forge swords and armor. I grab worn down metallic plating and strap them to my legs and arms. Strap the chest plate on as well. I can feel the weight weighing me down just like it used to. I take the dark silver beaten up dragon skull shoulder piece with the three spikes sticking up and strap it to my left shoulder. Then I grab my pitch black cloak, throw it over my shoulders and strap that on also. Gather my thing and shove them into my bag. Take up my shield and sheath my sword. Pick up my helmet and look at it.

"It's good to be back." I smirked as I put it on.

I go outside and take out my map. Thea comes and lands on my shoulder and taps on my helmet like she always does.

"This is the quickest route to get to Baron's Watch. We will cut through Hellowing Mountains to avoid the Splicers."

"Alright let's go." she says as she starts to fly into the sky.
