It was around one in the morning when Keith woke up to a loud crashing noise coming from his bathroom. He looked around frantically for a weapon of some kind.
“Fuck, how can I lose so much of my stuff, I live in a fucking studio apartment?!” he whispers to himself.
“Hey babe, looking for me?” Lance says, casually walking out of the bathroom.
“What the fuck Lance!? How the hell did you get in here!? What the fuck?” Keith cried in anger and surprise.
“Oh just, y’know, hangin.”
Lance was not wrong. The towel hook which usually held Keith’s bath robe was on the floor, along with a few crumbles of drywall. Lance was wearing his robe.
“What did you do? Climb into my robe and rip it from the wall?”
“Maybe I did.”
Keith facepalmed. “You can’t do that dude. You especially can’t be in my apartment at one in the morning.”
“But what if I want to?”
“That doesn’t make you entitled.”
Lance rolled his eyes.
“Whatever, Keithy-boy. I just really need somewhere to spend the night.”
“No you don’t, Lance, I live in a tiny studio apartment. There is only one bed! Where do you even plan to sleep?”
Keith cries in an exasperated tone.
“Oh well if you really want to know, scoot over.” Lance smirks .
“What? Lance, No it's my bed I'm not going to share and especially not with you!”
“Hey what's that supposed to mean? I'm amazing.”
“It means shut up and get out of my house.”
“You don't have a house.”
“Okay, shut up and get out I my adequately sized apartment.”
“It’s not adequately sized, there isn't even enough space for me in the bed!!”
“You mean my bed?”
“Yes, my bed now get out.”
“No, dude, just get ou-, wait why do you even need a place to sleep??”
“Uhhh because I'm tired… Why else would I need a place to sleep, mullet-head?”
“Lance, you can't stay here. Even if I was okay with it, there wouldn't be enough space!”
“Not if I lie on top of you.” Lance replied, smirking.
Keith felt his face go a bright shade of red.
“Um, no. Get out right now.”
“But Keith! I can't go back to my house!”
Lance gazed at Keith with a worried look on his face.
Keith’s expression softened. “Why? What happened?”
“Uh, nothing. It was no big deal, I just. . . can’t go back. Not tonight. There’s no one else I can stay with.”
Keith didn't respond for a moment, thinking.
“I. . .I suppose you can stay here. But you can't sleep in my bed! I'll set up a sleeping bag on the floor.”
