I rushed back and forth as the bar and grill continued to fill with customers. I knew I wasn't going to get my break anytime soon, and with a  look at the door where several groups were waiting I doubted I'd get one at all.

It has been two days since I've seen Jacob and that was only for a brief period in between classes. He apologized for not picking me up from work saying the coach on the swim team had been working him hard lately. I just smiled and brushed it off like a good little girlfriend.

I just made it back to my section when the swim team and football team took tables right across from one another. I held back a groan and thought of the tips I'd get. I did my best to put a smile on my face and went to collect the orders.

"Hey babe." Jacob said with a smile of his own but it didn't reach his eyes as it usually does.

"Hey"

"Are you riding home with me?"

"Sure if its okay."

"Well of course its okay. I'm your boyfriend."

I smiled a little brighter at the thought of spending time with him. Once I finished with that table I moved to the football teams table. That's when things went to hell.
