Coming Clean

Honey's POV

~I woke up to the sound of my light pink iPhone 5C going off playing Loud by NewAra. I let it keep playing cause that was one of my fav songs and started getting ready for my 1st day.

I did all my hygiene and started brushing hair while it was still wet so I could give it that wavy look. While applying some light pink eyeshadow to my eyes, I heard a knock on my bathroom door.

Honey: Come in!

Momma: GoodMorning baby! -kisses Honey's cheek- So are you excited?!

Honey: -laughs,puts on foundation- Ma come down! But I am a lil nervous tho!

Momma: Baby everything gonna fine cause I kno you gonna show them who baddest chick is!! -snap fingers in the air,runs fingers through Honey's hair-

Honey: -laughs- Momma you a fool! But I love ya tho -kisses her mommas cheek- But I gotta get dressed or you Gon make me late! -walks out the bathroom back into her room,goes through her closet-

Momma: So what you gonna wear? Cause you ain't finna be walkin round here lookin ratchet!

Honey: -pulls out white skinny jeans,floral crop top,and KD 6 "Aunt Pearl". Momma now you know good and well I be lookin cute!

Momma: Yes baby I know but imma let you get ready. -kisses Honey one more time on the cheek,closes the door-

~I love my momma to death man I swear! My dad had left us about 2 yrs ago back in Harlem,New York for this chick from work. So this is why I'm down here. To start fresh. Me and my momma are doing just fine without my dad. My mom is working as an accountant at a bank so that's how we're getting the things we both need and want.

I start putting my clothes on and took one last look at myself in the mirror. I took some pics for Insta and immediately started getting likes from everyone back from NYC and some comments from the people I was cool with.

I grabbed my lipgloss, phone charger, and bookbag then jogged downstairs.

Honey: I'm leavin ma!

Momma: Bye baby! Kisses!

Honey: Kisses! -runs out the door,gets in the car,and leaves-

~I climb in my 2013 red Camaro and headed off to school. I arrived in good time and went to my locker number that my guidance counselor gave me last week.

I swear I'm struggling like this doesn't even make sense! While I'm trying to get this stupid locker open, this boy comes up behind me.

Ace: You need some help?

Honey: (turns around,looks at him) Sure

Ace: What's your combination?

Honey: 38-15-36

~I couldn't keep my eyes off this boy! His locks and his chocolate skin was just making me want him even more! Honey calm down,dont be a thirsty hoe...play it cool.

Ace: (does combination,opens locker) So you new here?

Honey: Yea (puts stuff in locker)

Ace: When did you get here?

Honey: This morning

Ace: Wha-(gets cut off)

Honey: I gotta go my 1st block before I be late (closes locker,walks off)

I hurried to my 1st class which was Health Science and sat down. Throughout the class my thoughts were wandering thinking about him.
