"Owwww..." said the unidentified girl, rubbing her head in pain.
"Oh my Mars, are you okay?!?" asked Crystal as she offered the girl her hand. The girl looked up at Crystal for the first time, and Crystal could make out her features.
The girl had brown eyes, and brown, curly hair that hung just above her shoulders. The girl somewhat glared at Crystal which in turn, prompted Crystal to quickly say, " I'm sorry, standard question."
After Crystal said this the girl suddenly stopped glaring at her and started to instead stare at her in confusion. "Huh? Oh, what- I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else, that's why I was glaring at you."
This thoroughly amused Crystal but, she didn't want to seem rude so, she replied with, "Phhht! It's nothing, I don't take any offence."
"Also, I can't help my curiosity," she said, taking Crystal's hand to pull herself up, "but what does 'oh my Mars mean."
"Uhh... I actually don't really know... hehehe... but I guess it's kinda like how you hu- I mean how everyone else says oh my gosh or... something..." she said with a nervous smile.
Man, I messed that up quite a bit. I hope she didn't notice...
-----------------Other girl P.O.V------------
Hmmm... it sounded like she was going to says humans. Maybe this girl just watches too much Invader Zim.*
-----------------Back to Crystal-------------
"Well, anyways, what's your name by chance?" questioned Crystal, trying to break the awkward atmosphere."Starr, with two r's, Wilson. Starr Wilson. What's your name?" she said.
"Crystal Jones!" Crystal answered almost immediately, not wanting another mishap similar to the one last night.
"Say," said Starr, "would you happen to be the person that moved into room number 34 last night?"
"Yup, I am that person. Which room are you in?" questioned Crystal, popping the 'p' in yup.
"Room 33 acutally. I guess we're neighbors then. And, I'm very sorry I smacked into you." Starr said, somehow just now remembering how their conversation started.
"Ah, it's fine. I wasn't looking where I was going either. Would you want to be friends? I don't have any yet because I- uh, just moved here!"
Mars, thought Crystal, I really need to stop this stuttering ridiculousness and think things through before I open my big mouth.
"Of course I'd want to be friends! I sadly don't have any either." Starr said, sounding very depressed.
"Why?" Crystal said, confused. From what she had researched, almost every single human had what they called friends. She hadn't read about humans that didn't have friends.
"Well, since about 4th grade no one has wanted to be my friend because I got perfect grades. Because I got perfect grades and was the teachers pet, everyone called me 'Starr Student' and they knew I hated it. I don't like a lot of attention drawn to me. Anyone who associated with me was ridiculed for hanging out with the 'Starr Student' and called nerds or geeks."
"Oh, that's terrible... but I don't care if I'm made fun of or something; I'll still be your friend" Crystal said, flashing a smile.
"Wait, really? You seriously don't care?" Starr questioned, snapping her head away from the ground where she was previously staring, to look at Crystal in astonishment. No one had ever wanted to be her friend. Even if they were playing a cruel joke, they would always run away laughing before she could say anything.
"Nope. I don't care one bit." Crystal had just barely finished this sentence before Starr had enveloped her with a bone-crushing hug.
"Starr... I... can't... breathe!"
"Sorry!"
