I finally made my way to my room, silently closing the door behind me and flopping onto my bed. I looked up to the starry sky that was painted onto my ceiling. My traced the swirls of the stokes I had once done on my first day here, I was 10 when that happened. I was here earlier than the standard was, which was that the youngest should be at least 12, but I had certain... needs.. that had to be attended to. For two years I had no friends, I was scared in this new, terrifying place that was to be called my home. I tried to make friends, with the teachers at least, none of the other students really liked me. I'd get bullied for being the youngest, or push me around asking the same question  'What's wrong with you?'. Over and over and over and over anD OVER AND OVER AGAIN THIS WOULD HAPPEN! THEY'D MAKE FUN OF ME, INSULT ME, HURT ME, AND JUST PLAY WITH MY WITHERED MIND UNTIL I JUST SNAPPED! It was a group of five kids, they had surrounded me and started pushing me to a fro to one another, chanting the question. I was sick of it. As soon as I was passed over to another one of the kids after being pushed about 50 times, I grasped onto them. At first they tried to push me away, but after that didn't work the kid tried to shove me off of him but I wouldn't budge. They started yelling, their friends coming over to try and pry me off, but before they got near the kid I let go only to grab onto the kid's throat. I squeezed it as tight as I could, hearing them gasping and watching their face go blue from lack of air. I squeezed harder and heard a satisfying SNAP as they're head lolled to the side. I let go and smirked, turned, and pounced onto another one and grasping onto their throat.

I remember the rest of them scream in terror as I only chuckled a little.

Suddenly, I heard a knock at my door which took me out of my thoughts. I looked down at my hands which were gripping onto the blanket, my knuckles were white. I let go on my hold and shook out my hand whilst saying "Who is it?" As a reply to the knock.

"Ava, it's me, Raven, could I come in?" I heard Raven say from the other side of the door.

"Of course. The door is unlocked." I said, sitting up and scooting myself to the edge of the bed.

The door slowly opened as Raven slipped inside my room and gently closed the door behind her. She walked over to my bedside and sat next to me.

"So," she began in a cheery voice, "It's finally the weekend! Even better, the staff are going to take students who have their grades up to.. drum role please.." She motioned to me to start a drum role, I laughed and patted my lap quickly to replicate the sound. "Go to a water park!" She just about shouted, raising her arms up into the air to show her excitement.

Raven seemed so excited to go to this water park, but I didn't know how to react. I was excited but... I didn't know how to swim. So, I joined in on her celebrating before asking,

"Do the others know yet?" I slightly cocked my head with my question, a small habit I have of doing. Raven replied to me with,

"Yeah they know, it was announced over the intercom while we were all walking down the hall."

"Oh." I said without thinking much. "Well then.. when do we know who's going?" I asked with another question in mind, "And how are they even allowing us to even go at all?"

Raven chuckled and said,

"You have quiet a lot of questions don't you." I laughed and she continued to answer, "We should get to know in an hour or so for who's going. And I think they rented out the park, to treat us. You know make up for cooping us up in this place." Cooping? They have us trapped here like mice! I screamed inside my head.

"Well," Raven started, "I know I have good grades so I'm gonna go get packing." She said as she went out my door. "See you later!" She closed the door behind her and I could hear her footsteps running down the hallway.
