She's Coming Home
Chapter 8 ~
Tom's POV:
I hear Lily mumble something but I didn't put much attention to that. I just chuckle and climbed into my car.
My thoughts get interrupted as I hear my phone ring, instantly picking it up and putting it to my ear as I watch the road.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Tom, it's Harrison."
"Oh ... what's going on?" I ask curiously, surprised that he had called me himself.
"I talked to the lads. They said they would be willing to come see you in two weeks."
A smile spreads throughout my face.
"But," he starts, "That's only if you hadn't had a drink, went out to a party, or gotten into anything else like that until then."
"I doubt that will happen Haz ... Thank you." I say happily.
He sighs, "Yeah, so have you taken my advice? Tried to find a friend?"
"If you mean going on a date with someone that hates me then yeah." I smirk to myself.
"Tom," Harrison laughs, "You know that wasn't what I meant by saying to find a friend," he chuckles.
"I know. I know. She's nothing though, she absolutely hates me," I tell him, turning at a stop light.
"Why?" He asks.
"It's a long, long story," I brush it aside.
"You sound a little happier," Harrison says.
"I am .. surprisingly," I sigh.
"Maybe it's her."
"Who?"
"You know ... the girl .. who hates you," he chuckles.
"No, that's not it. It's just being back probably," I say.
"Yeah, whatever Tom. Just keep doing whatever you're doing, that is keeping you happy. Even if it takes taking a girl that hates you on a date. But look, I've got to go meet up with Catherine," He says.
"Okay, tell her I said hi," I laugh.
We say our goodbyes and hang up.
I think I have my best mate back.

"Tom?" Sam calls from downstairs, my eyes peering up from my book that I had been attempting to read.
"Yeah?" I call out.
"Do you want to help Mum, Harry, and me make dinner?" He asks.
I shut my book, hopping up from my bed before striding down the stairs, entering the kitchen.
"You can, cut the onion." My mum suggests.
I clear my throat before heading over to the already taken out knife and onion, beginning the progress.
"Harrison called me today," I inform them.
"Really? What did he say?" My mum asks happily.
"He said he and the rest of the lads may be able to come see me in two weeks. If I keep doing what I'm doing," I shrug.
"That's good Tom, so that means you've been doing better?" She asks, looking at me suspiciously.
"Yeah," I laugh, shrugging my shoulders.
"Oh come on, just tell me who she is so I don't have to guess," She tells me.
"What do you mean," I chuckle.
"Harry heard you on the phone last night, setting up a date," She wriggles her eyebrows.
"Mum!" Harry shouts, as he stops chopping the vegetables, "You weren't supposed to say anything."
"It wasn't a date guys, I just had to give a friend something back that I had of hers," I explain.
"And why do you snoop huh?" I ask Harry, punching him on the shoulder lightly as he passed by.
"Well is she the reason you've been happy these past few days?" My mum asks.
"I don't know. Most likely not, we aren't really good friends actually. We didn't get along during school," I say, I mean I could say that right?
"Maybe you should continue to hang out with her then. Show her what a nice boy you are," My mum smiles.
"I don't know mum," I laugh
