Mr Mendes

Chapter 1

Ugh today is the first day back at school. I get up and do my morning routine, do my hair and make up and put on my clothes.* outfit above*
I say goodbye to my mom grab an apple and start walking to school.
I meet my friend at the lockers and we go and get our new schedules.
Faith: so any new romances Olivia?
Olivia: never, you must be joking right?
We head to our first lesson which was maths. Then we went to English.
Faith and I sat at the back in our usual seats when a tall dark haired man walked in. All the girls practically fell of their seats but I didn't see what the fuss was about. He turned round and introduced himself.
My name is Mr Mendes and I am your new English teacher. So I am going to do the register and as you answer your names can you put your hands up so I can see who you are.
He went through the register my name is in the middle.
Olivia Taylor
I raised my hand.
He smiled at me and carried on. I felt strange but for some reason I blushed.
* half way through the lesson*
Faith and I were talking about random things when Mr Mendes turned his attention to us and said
Ms Taylor please pay attention or remove yourself from the class. I nodded and listened for a bit and started talking to faith again.
Olivia please be quiet last chance. I didn't listen and rolled my eyes.
* Few minutes later*
I dropped my pen on the floor so picked it up and Mr Mendes shouted at me again for distracting the people around me.
Olivia: But I was just picking up my pen, I didn't do anything wrong!
He gave me a detention.
It was the end of the lesson and I walked out to my next lessons.
Everything was boring. The school day had finished and I just wanted to go home but I had a stupid detention with Mr Mendes.
I texted my mum to tell her I was going to be home later than usual and went to the detention.
