When I got home I couldn't stop smiling. The worst thing was I had a lesson which him tomorrow, god save me. Anyway I decided to text Faith telling her I had something to tell her.
It was the next day, Thursday,I dragged myself out of bed and got ready.
My mom drive me to school, I went straight to my locker and got my books. Faith was at her locker opposite me so I went over to her.
Olivia: hey best friend, how are you?!
Faith: I'm good but I believe you have some news for me?!
Olivia: you won't believe me but last night I couldn't sleep at all so I got up and went on a beach walk. I though it would calm me down a bit.
I explained the rest and she just stood there with a proud and surprised look on her face.
Olivia: I have to go now, I'll see you later.
Faith: we've got the same lesson you idiot, we have English with your new boyfriend. She smirked at her snide comment and I just shook my head and walked off.
We got to the lesson, sat down in the back off the classroom as per usual.
Mr Mendes walked in and started explaining the work. It felt as though last night didn't even happen. At the end of the lesson mr Mendes started explaining about a trip to a English literature museum. It sounded really interesting we would visit the museum to learn about past horrors such as 9/11. Faith and I signed our names down. The trip was over the weekend to somewhere about an hour away. On the first day we would travel then settle into out hotels and have dinner. On the second day we would visit the museum and then on the final day we would go on a hike up a mountain/ hill and see if we could find interesting to write about it describe for the English literature project included in the trip. Mr Mendes was the supervisor and miss Johnson was also. There would be 30 people going and 15 people per groups. I was secretly hoping I would be in mr mendes' group with faith.
The list would be up tomorrow and the trip was Saturday to Monday.
At the end of the lesson the bell rang and
I somehow ended up being last out as I sit at the back. Shawn called me over.
Mr Mendes: listen about last night I don't want you to think I'm a creep or anything.
I stopped him mid sentence
Olivia: no don't worry sir, I don't and I think it was nice that you were making sure I was okay.
He nodded I turned in my heels and walked out making sure my hair swished past him revealing my flowers scent.
My fingers were crossed I would be in his group.
