Callie's pov

"Mom!" I yelled

"Indy isn't giving me my phone back!" Indy is my obnoxious 18 year old brother

"Indy give your sister back her phone now!" she said coming into the room.

"But mom," he whined "She took my shoe and threw it out the window." he said. he is such a baby

"Callie, what did you do?" she asked me. I shrugged

"Ok I did throw his shoe out the window, but only after he threw mine out the window." I complained

"Indy, if you don't give Callie back her phone you're grounded for the whole week," she told Indy leaving to get Julian out of his crib

"Mom I have a date this week," he said following Mom and I followed him

"Callie hold J. Indy go get Brooks and Carson." Indy trudged to Brooks and Carson's room

"Where's my nose?" I asked Julian. he poked my nose

"Good. Where's my mouth?" he poked my mouth

"Callie come here please," my mom told me

I walked into the kitchen to see her holding one of my math papers. Crap!

"What this?" she asked

"Uh... my math?" I said, my cheeks turning red

"Yes. But did you study?" she asked

"No. but I tried. Sierra invited me over and she was having a party but I tried. I did." I explained

"Callie, it's not ok if you tried. You shouldn't have gone to her party and studied. A D isn't ok." she told me while J babbled

"Mom, it was her birthday. I couldn't say no. She wouldn't ever talk to me if didn't go." I set J on his play mat and stormed off to my room. I listened to their conversation.

"We're going to...for...days...visit...get Callie..." I only heard half of their conversation.

There was a knock at m door and it opened. I buried my face in the pillows.

"Callie!" Brooks shook me

"Callie! Get up!" I jolted up and scared him

"What?" I asked

"Mommy said we're going to a hotel for a few days!" he said excitedly

"Why?" I asked him.

"I donknow. Some people are coming to kill the bugs."

"What bugs? There are bug in this house?!" I got a shiver.

I got up and got down my suitcase.

"Mom said not to pack,"

"Why?"

"I don't know why. She just said not to." that's weird. she usually doesn't let us go anywhere on vacation with out our suitcase.

I walked out of my room with my phone in my pocket of skinny jeans. I felt a tug at the bottom of my 'Stay Beautiful' shirt. I looked down to see J looking up at me with big beady eyes. I picked him up and kissed his cheek.

I slipped on my purple high top Converse and walked out to the car where the rest of them were waiting.

My mom rolled down her window and asked, "Want to go in my car or Indy's?" definitely not Indy's. I put J in his car seat and buckled him, and then got in front. Everyone else was in Indy's car so it was just me, my mom and J.
