Chapter 6

Stormies POV

The doctor told us there was a open spot for surgery at 11 am which was in 3 hours so we decided get it done with.

3 hours later

Rosie's POV

The doctor told me I was gonna get something to make me sleepy and I would take a nap and when I woke up I would have a owie.

"Okay breathe in and you'll get a little sleepy" said the nurse

I breathed in and fell asleep

Rikers POV

I was nervous for her but knew that she would be fine because she was strong.

"Are you Rosie's family?"

"Yes we are" answered my mom

"She's in recovery and is awake and asked for Riker as soon as she woke up" said the nurse

Whenever she woke up and I wasn't there she asked for me even if I wasn't home she wanted me. I walked back to the room.

"Riker I have a owie" she said.

"It's okay they fixed your tummy aches" I told her.

"When do I get my own bed and to go home" she asked

"You get to go home in three days" said the nurse.

"I promise I'll stay here and won't leave you because your my baby sister and I'm your lifeguard" I told her

"You two must be really close" said the nurse.

"Yeah I'm the oldest so when she was born I helped a lot right Rosie?"I said

"Yep" she answered drifting back to sleep.

"You can pick her up just be careful she has a few stitches not to many" said the nurse.

"Thanks" I said picking her up to hold her again. And started to sing to her

🎶you are my sunshine my only sunshine you make me happy when my days are gloomy🎶 It may not have been the right words but it was true she was my sunshine.

I rocked her back and forth she was only two and already has had a years worth or more of shots and a surgery, more then my whole life. She started to wake up...

"Woss" she said

She wanted Ross and I knew it was because at home the three of us shared a room and she woke up to us and fell asleep to us. I texted Ross asking him to come back and he must of known he was there before the text sent.

"Hey cutie" he said.

"Woss!" She said

"Are you sleepy?" He asked.

"Yeah" she said falling back asleep.

She was ready for bed and it was only 3 o'clock but she was just waking up from the medicine.

I handed her to Ross I was surprised she didn't want my mom or dad all she wanted was her brothers.That was probably because she fell asleep with us and woke up with us. Literally she falls asleep with us. Why? She doesn't like to sleep alone she likes being cuddled. Which Ross and I both don't mind.

Ross' POV

She always wakes me up or I wake her up or Riker wakes her up. No wonder she asked for Riker then me. "Woss are you gonna stay tonight?" She asked.

"Anything you want I'll do little girl" I told her.

"Knock knock" Ratliff said from the door.

"Come in!" Riker said.

She had drifted back to sleep so I layed her down on the bed.

Ratliff's POV

She didn't look like it hurt at all and they both were happy I think it was time that I told them about Rydel and I. "Can I talk to you two?" I asked.

"Yeah sure" said Ross.

"I'll make it short and simple please don't freak out *deep breathe* Rydel and I have been dating for three months now." I said.

"Oh that's great congrats" said Riker.

"So you aren't mad?" I asked.

"No we all knew it would happen" Ross said.

What I hadn't told them was that I was going to propose to her. I was debating telling them but I think it would be best after. I decided just to tell them since they weren't mad about the dating.

"I'm also asking her to marry me" I said.

"That's awesome!" Said Riker

Even better they weren't mad about that either.

"Really? Great!" Said Ross.

Rosie's POV

I was still tired from the medicine.

"Riker?" I said

"Yeah?" He answered.

"Uppy" I said.

Riker's POV

"Riker?" I heard her call my name.

"Yeah?" I answered.

"Uppy" she said.

All she wanted was held. I could tell she was homesick all she wanted was held. I had a idea to cure her home sick problem.

"If I ask the doctor and he says yes do you want to put on your pajamas from home?" I said.

"Yeah" she said.

"I'll go ask" said Ross.

Maybe it would help if she had something that smelled like home. Yeah it may sound stupid but it may help. I knew that I wouldn't be leaving nor would Ross until she went home.

"The doctor said yes he's gonna send in a nurse to help put them on though" said Ross.

~a few minutes later~

"Arms up!" Said the nurse. "I'm guessing you like animals cause your pajamas have all sorts of animals don't they."

"Mhm" said Rosie.

"There you go!" Said the nurse.

"Thank you" said Rosie.

"Your welcome!"she said

Ross' POV

I knew she was gonna be cranky soon. Why? It was getting towards dinner and she got cranky around then.

"I'm hungry" she said.

"Well not for long dinners here" said Stormie.

The hospital had given my mom permission to bring our family's favorite meal chicken noodle soup.

"I'll test your sugars and give you your insulin" said Stormie.

~a little while later~

"We are heading home we will be back not tomorrow but the next day" said Mark.

"Okay bye" said Riker.
