"Oh, I-we should probably be getting inside," Patrick said creating a larger gap between us as he moved away from me and started walking inside. The rain held up but I just stood there and watched in walk into the building.

Am I feeling a strike of disappointment? disappointed at the fact that my lips weren't on his. Disappointed at the fact that I can infer from this that there is nothing--absolutely nothing--between us.

I sighed and started after him. I heard sirens as I walked through the door of the building only to be met by Andy hold a towel for me. I grabbed it and started drying my hair. The sirens started getting closer and It sounded like they were coming towards us.

"Hey, what are those sirens all about?" I asked Andy. It looked like he remembered something important. He slapped the side of his head and made a really weird noise.

"I forgot to tell you, Rachel fell off the stage," He said with little urgency.

"What?! Is she okay?!" I yelled.

"Well, she's not dead or anything," he said. "she just like, hurt her arm."

"How the hell did she fall?" I asked as we started walking back to where everyone was.

"It was raining, the front of the stage was wet, I told her not to walk all the way to the front, she did, she fell, we laughed, she yelled, then Pete threw a fit and called an ambulance," he explained. "You know, I think they have a little thing going on," Andy whispered because he didn't want anyone else to hear. Seriously, isn't it obvious?

"Nah, I don't think so," I said.

"Really? is it just me then?" Andy asked and I nodded. I looked around the room and saw Rachel sitting on the couch with a very annoyed look on her face. Pete sat next to her and held her arm in one place as they waited for EMT's to show up. Joe was wondering around the room looking for something to do. Andy left my side and went to get something to drink And Patrick, was just sitting on the couch staring blankly at the ground. His eyes were fixed on the concrete floor and he didn't move. He finally looked up and our eyes met. It wasn't until then did I realize I was just standing there staring at him. His eyes didn't leave mine but I didn't care. I got lost in his green eyes and I didn't want to look away. And I didn't until I was being pushed aside by EMT's.

"Took you long enough," Rachel said.

"Are you still sour because you fell off the stage?" Joe asked. Everyone was trying so hard not to laugh. Even I was trying not to laugh. I can see her falling in my head and it was so funny. I watched as they put her arm into a splint to keep it in place until they got her to the hospital. She didn't look at anyone, she didn't talk to anyone, she didn't do anything other than look straight ahead and grabbed Pete's shirt as the EMT's walked her out of the building. Pete was being dragged with her but something tells me he didn't care.
