Diana Struebers, a detective for Phoenix Police Department, stood in her home that she shared with her finace.  Her finger's were around the thin trigger as it dug into her skin. She knew doing this could send her to jail. She took a deep breath and let it out shakily.

Slowly, her skin began turning redder as she pressed her finger against it harder. The shot echoed around the small room. Yet, Ms. Struebers seemed completely unphased. Tears streamed down her face as she put the gun down by her side.

Sirens wailed in the distance; quickly realizing that her neighbor must have called the police, she hid the gun in her purse, opened the window and made it look as if someone had escaped after murder. She then sat in her bed, still crying. The memory of her murder, still fresh in the twenty-five year olds mind. The echo of the gun seemed to be resonating around the room, but she knew it was only her mind playing tricks.

The sirens flashed in her driveway as they surronded her house. There was a loud pounding on the door.

"POLICE. Open the door!!!!" One of the voices commaneded.

Slowly, Diana made her way down the stairs and to the front door.

"My finace was murdered...." Was all that said before she collapsed to the ground, her face pale as death.
