Chapter 1: A New World

Narrator's POV:

Chloe, Paige and Brooke strode down the school hallway. They had all just gone shopping last weekend and they were showcasing their new wears. Chloe had brought some dark skinny jeans and a new pink hoodie that went on top of her dark blue silk top, she also wore her favorite pair of red sneakers. The other girls had brought just a new matching dress that was violet color and looked gorgeous. Right now, Chloe was one of (if not the) most popular girl in her grade, however she wasn't the typical bitchy snob that was popular. She was kind and caring and made everybody feel nice. This was why she had so many friends. "Omg guys I can not wait for the first episode of the second season of Dance Moms airs, people can see crazy Jill for the first time," Chloe said whilst she waved to Nia.

"What do you think of Kendall?" Brooke asked. Brooke had always enjoyed gossiping about new comers to the group. "I think that Kendall can be a little frustrating, she always thinks she is the best," Paige said. Chloe had separate ways with the other two, so they decided to meet at lunch later.

Chloe's POV:

I started towards my locker started to open it and then Maddie closed it. "Maddie?" I asked confused. "Chloe, I'm sick of you pretending to be 'Miss Nice'. I know that your just an attention whore," Maddie said whilst she got even closer to me.

"What are you talking about Maddie? Why are you using so mean words? I thought we were best friends." I said extending my arms to hold her hands. Maddie slapped me in the face. "Ow Maddie what was that for?!" I shout, people are walking over our way now. She slams me into the lockers and I let loose a tear. What did I do?

"Chloe are you ok?" Josh Hyland asks, whilst he rubbed my arm. I wiped the tears away and rubbed my cheek. "Maddie just came up to me, accused me of being an 'attention whore', slapped me in the face and then shoved me into the lockers. I tried asking what was wrong, but she didn't answer me. What do you think?" I asked hoping for an explanation to Maddie's odd and hurtful actions. "I really don't know Chlo. Maybe she is just jealous of the amount of fans you have?" He replies in a not very confident voice.

"Well I'm going to go to my first period, so catch you later," I said whilst I spun around on my foot and leaped down the hallway. I mean I am a dancer after all.

Narrator's POV:

Chloe, Paige and Brooke find somewhere to sit, wanting to just chat alone, but there aren't any empty tables. Lucky Chloe is always saved a spot at the popular tables. The three girls plonk themselves down. Chloe told them about her incident earlier today and all the girls decided that they would confront her at dance today. Well it so happened that Maddie was nearby when they were talking and she decided to spill her water. She walked down an isle and pretended to trip up behind Chloe spilling water all over her new clothes. "Whoops, sorry Chloe I didn't see you there," Maddie said in a very strong sarcastic voice.

"Maddie, they were new clothes and you knew that, we know your got her wet on purpose." Paige said sticking up for her twinnie. "Well maybe if they actually looked good on her..." Maddie started, but before she could finish a bunch of people came to help Chloe's cause. That was a pro of having lots of friends. "Leave her alone!" somebody said from the back of the crowd. Maddie rolled her eyes and walked off back inside the school.

Paige's POV:

Chloe was trying to hold back the tears in her eyes, so I quickly scurried her inside somewhere private where I could comfort her. "It's alright Chlo Bird, it's alright," I said stroking her hair. She sniveled a bit and hugged me. "Come on Chlo lets go to class,"

Chloe's POV:

The rest of the day was a blast, me and Paige just messed around in chemistry playing around with random chemicals. We nearly got detention! I went home and my mom greeted me. "Did you have a nic-" she started as she came round the corner, but then she must have noticed the bruise on my cheek. "Chlo what happened!" she screamed.

"Nothing , I just fell over walking to school," I reply.

"Chloe Elizabeth Lukasiak! You will tell me what happened now." She shouted.

"None of your goddamn business! Ugh I hate you." I instantly regretted what I said, but it was too late I stormed to my room and slammed my door. I didn't come out for the rest of the day.
