The last time I wrote in this was last year, so a very very late happy new year. I hope 2017 is treating you amazingly.
Something I've been thinking about lately is mistakes and learning not to care what everyone thinks about you. It's been on my mind a lot recently and I wanted to write something on it, to let out a lot of unsaid thoughts on the topic.
Everyone makes mistakes, and believe it or not, it's okay to make mistakes. They're what makes us human, there is not one person on this universe who has never made a mistake before.
Although, our mistakes do not define who we are. You may regret making them, or maybe they caused you to lose something in your life, but listen. It might sound ridiculous but, keep making mistakes. Mistakes are all a learning curve and progress in our lives. As long as we don't repeat the same ones. They're apart of growing and developing who we are. So it's okay.
For my entire life, I've always cared what people thought of me. I've always been a people pleaser, and sometimes I still struggle to remember that you cannot please everyone.
There is going to be someone who doesn't like you no matter where you go. When one person doesn't like you, it seems like the whole world is against you. And that's a pretty crappy feeling.
But in the end, the only person we have is ourselves and that's okay. What's the point if you're making everyone else around you happy except yourself? There is no stopping the judgement that goes on in this world, and it breaks my heart to know that there's nothing we can do.
But you can keep pushing forward and making yourself proud, and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. It may seem like everyone is against you, but you have to keep placing all that happiness within yourself. You're the only person you have at the end of the day.
You are strong, beautiful, intelligent, and everything else you can imagine. You deserve the world and beyond, and you are capable of anything. I believe in you.
Always remember that making mistakes are crucial to life to help us grow, and that there is always going to be someone who doesn't like us. We can't please everyone. So screw them, you have your own back. People who don't like you are the ones who don't like themselves.
I'll always believe in every single one of you.
