Daybreak
Half awake
Mesmerized by the river
My mind's sore to the core
A chill in my bones brings a shiver
Rain pours
Thunder snores
Loud enough to beat the band
Inside, the kettle screams
The world's gone flat again
Here's to hope and humanity
Pray the boats begin to lift
The one last truth that still stands a chance
Is the one we can't resist
Amore
Day's end
Shadows bend
To the will-o'-the-wisp
The nightingale sings her song
The one that begins with a kiss
Amore
