You sit alone at the cute little coffee shop attached to the manga store you visited so often, the seventh volume of Sword Art Online propped against the napkin container. The sleeve of your oversized gray sweater dwarfed your entire figure but that's why you loved it. Fingers poked out of the large sleeve, your hand resting under you chin, propping your head up. Subconsciously, you tugged at the matching grey beanie pulled over your head as your eyes scanned the manga.

"Wow! You look like a perfect heroine/hero!" You tear your eyes away from the page and look up to see a pretty girl in a tight, black dress, a weird gleam in her eye.

"No way!" A boy next to her exclaimed. "She/He would be the perfect sexy villain!"

"But he/she looks way more innocent!"

"I guess your right..." he trails off, looking you over.

"Uh- thank you. Wait, did you just call me sexy?" You raise a brow at them.

"Leave the poor kid alone," says a voice behind the two. It was a tall boy, rather cute, you'd admit, a beanie pulled low over a defined face. He stopped to glance down at you and offered a small smile. "Sorry about them."

"No. They're fine," you wave it off.

"But Dotachin," Erika whines. "Don't you think he/she is cute?" She and Walker give him pointed stares. He tries to avoid them.

"Uh-"

"It's okay." You cut him off  quickly seeing how uncomfortable he looked. "You don't have to answer."

Erika and Walker take two of the empty seats in front of you eagerly.

"What do you do for fun?"

"Do you come here often?"

"Are you single?"

"What's your favorite kind of car?"

You think for a moment, blue depression lines forming on Kyohei as he stares on disbelievingly.

"Work in my uncle's car shop, yes, yes, [favorite car]."

Kyohei snaps out of his daze and steps closer to you. "You like cars?"

"Mhm."

"Mind if I take a seat?"

"Not at all."

He stares at you for a moment, you returning it, until he realizes it's rude and quickly looks away, clearing his throat awkwardly.

"Blew it," Erika taunts under her breath, but you can't help but laugh at how nervous he got just by staring at you. It was cute. "Why not just tell him/her, Dotachin?"

"Yeah," Walker joined it. "About how all you do is-"

Kyohei kicks him under the table. You look at him questioningly, your [color] eyes boring into his, making him shift in his seat.

"Tell me . . .?"

Reluctantly, he mumbled, "I've noticed you around before. And, uh, I think about you, about the conversations we could have, about how you would look next to me-"

"That sounded better in your head, didn't it?" Walker interrupted.

Most people would have thought it creepy if a guy thought about them a lot, but for some reason you didn't. Not with him. You actually found it kind of cute. A little voice in the back of your head wonders what's wrong with you but you ignore it, smiling at him with that cute smile of yours. A smile that makes him like you even more. Not because it's amazing and lights up every street, though that's a definite bonus, but because of the happiness and sadness behind that smile.

Your phone rings, breaking you from your trance and you quickly answer it, fumbling with the small device as you bring it to your ear.

"Yeah?"

"Head home. We need your help," your roommate says. Weird. She's not supposed to be at the apartment.... you glance out the window and see her, a dark skinned girl in a loose tank top and shorts, black Afro, and honey colored eyes, standing outside smiling at you. You sweat drop.

'She followed me?'

You hang up on her without answering. "I've got to go," you say, pulling a napkin towards you and picking up the pen the waiter left, scribbling your number on it. "But call me." You stand, handing Kyohei the napkin. "Maybe we can have some of those conversations."

He watches you as you leave then looks down at the napkin.

[Phone number]
You're cute. And you're friends are interesting.
Meet me here tomorrow at noon ;)

Walker and Erika read it after him, high fiving each other victoriously.
