Chapter 11 (End)

Levi POV

Running into the flames I looked around, flashbacks of that night came across my mind creeping back up to the surface. The fire growing every second.

My mom begging for me to run away and to not look back. The fire surrounding me, smoke and ash clogging my throat making it unbarable to breath or see.

Looking around I saw a body laying on the ground, panicking I ran over to the body seeing if it was Eren. It wasn't Eren thank god but I still can't find him, looking around once more I tried to yell but only a raspy voice came.

"Er..en..." I tried but coughing in the process.

More ash clogging my throat and making it hard to breath. Looking over to my left there was burning bodies withering, people who were most likely dead. To my right I found Eren he was covered in a grey ash and blood was dripping from his head, he was unconscious judging how he didn't respond or wasn't moving.

I ran up to him and shook him to see if he was in fact unconscious and he was still breathing, but barely. Pulling his heavy body through the flames that never seemed to end. My arm with flesh was burning getting burn marks that will last forever and my other arm is hot as hell.

Eren snapped out of his daze, I helped him stand up so he could lean on me until we get out of this place.

After walking to the exit, Jean was blocking the front holding nothing other than my decapitated arm and a knife. I wonder what the hell he is going to do with my arm, don't know don't care. I put Eren on the ground so he wouldn't get hurt and stopped towards Jean.

"I don't know how the fuck you are still alive and it's annoying as hell, so how about you just die already!!" I grabbed his chest with my gold arm and pushed deeper, blood running down my arm.

I saw nothing in his eyes, I didn't feel anything. He was just another mess to clean up.

Pulling my hand out of his chest his heart clenched in my hand, blood running down and falling onto the ground, still pumping as if it was still in his body.

His face had no emotion.

Only one tear fell from his eye onto his cheek.

"Karmas a bitch" holding the heart in my hand and squeezing it until it crumpled in my hand, blood spraying all over me and my face.
(A/n yes I know this is dark af but deal with it)

Drooping the organ I ran back to Eren and helped him up, him leaning on me for support.

We walked to the door thats open, stepping over Jeans crumpled body and walked into the light.

Right before Eren collapsed pulling me down on top of him. He looked up into my eyes and tried to smile. Tears started withering into my eyes threatening to be letting out. He can't die. Not after everything we've been through. I won't let it happen.

"No no no Eren, you can't leave me. We've been through so much I-I can't let you die..."My voice breaking with every word.

He lifted his hand up to my cheek, I hid my face in his palm letting a single tear come out. I touched his hand over my cheek and looked back down at him, he was smiling.

"Levi... this is my time to go, we've had some good times with you saving my ass when things went down hill. I still remember the day you helped he from that moron, just a raven haired boy saving me, meeting you was the best thing in my life. Out of everyone you chose me, I don't know why but I love you for that. Thank you Levi. My raven in shining armor... never give up and I will always be with you. For now and always."

He pulled my head down and kissed it lightly. I smile slightly, I love you so much.

"I... love... you..." he said squeezing his eyes shut before laying limp, his breathing and heart stopping.

A tear fell down my face, his arm falling from my cheek laying limp on his side. I looked up at him, he was still smiling but his eyes were covered in tears. Even when he lay limp he was happy. He is the only person I trust with my life. Now he lay dead in my arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

Waiting for him to speak once again

I cried

Grabbing onto his chest and squeezing his shirt into a fist.

He left me

I put my head in my hands where they lay on his chest and cried.

He's gone

"I...
Love...
You... to" squeezing my fist one more time before collapsing next to him.

I see is Eren standing with my mother stretching his hand out for me to grab. I grabbed his hand and he lead me to a bright light. My mother by my side with a big smile hugging into my arm as we walk to the light.

With Eren holding my hand and my mother by my side I felt whole

Like nothing could stop me

We all come and go and that's just how life is

We see people we love disappear but we know they are in a better place.

This is my place

With the people I love

This place is what I call...

So... this is the end of the book Things can Change. I have wanted to write a book in a long time and when I thought about this plot I had to write it down. This has been an experience and I loved it. Yes I will write more books with Ereri and other ships so stay tuned for that. This chapter honestly messed me up though. I originally wasn't going going to kill Levi but eh. It still ended the way I wanted to. But anyway I'll get a new book but I need to think of ideas until next time... BYE!
