I woke up the next morning with numerous missed calls from family, friends and even people I hadn’t heard from in years. I guess the word had gotten out. I moaned as my phone vibrated for what felt like the hundredth time that morning, rolling over to be reminded of the reason for these phone calls. It was worth it. I just laid and watched him sleep for a couple of minutes, not in a creepy, Edward Cullen type of way, but more of a, ‘I can’t believe he’s mine’ kind of way. Over a month ago I wanted nothing to do with him at the concert, and now I couldn’t think of being without him in my life.

When I heard my phone vibrate again, I sighed and quietly moved out of the bed, picking it up as I saw a call coming through from my mom. I knew I had to explain everything to her. I pressed ‘answer’ and tiptoed outside onto the balcony of Harry’s room.

“Hey mom…”

“Taylor Alison Swift, do you want to explain to me why you’re on the cover of every single magazine here, kissing that One Direction boy?!”

I bit my lip, sighing into the phone. “I didn’t plan on falling for him, mom. It just sort of… happened?”

“Honey I don’t think you realize how hard this is going to be. You’re going to be in the public eye and once it happens, you can’t go back.”

“I know mom. But over this last week I’ve realized how great he really is. After Jake… I didn’t think I’d fall for someone ever again. He broke me. And then Harry came along…”

There was silence for a couple of seconds; I think my mom was telling my dad everything. Of course he wasn’t going to approve. “We’ll talk about this later, Taylor.” My mom had hung up the phone before I even had time to reply. I knew this wasn’t the last I was going to hear of it. The problem was my mom and dad loved Jake. They still hadn’t seen how horrible he had been. Of course they were upset that he had hurt me, but they just didn’t understand the extent of how hurt I was. And every single time I went back to him, it was like a cycle. It got to the point where I just couldn’t do it anymore, and Jake didn’t want to accept that.

I crept back through the bedroom and into the kitchen, finding Liam sitting on the counter eating some cereal.

“Hey!” I said happily to Liam as I pulled myself up onto the counter next to him.

“Well you’re in a good mood.” Liam commented and I nodded.

“Harry makes me happy. It took me a while to realize but I’m glad this is where we ended up.”

Liam took a spoonful of his cereal as I bit my lip. “He really likes you, y’know.” I turned to Liam as he said that, and I just smiled nervously. I didn’t want to hurt Harry at all, so I knew I had to be careful. I was damaged goods; there were things Harry still didn’t know about me and my past relationships, things that I would rather keep to myself. I really liked Harry but sometimes I questioned if I wasn’t meant to fall in love.

“I know. I’ll try not to take him away from you all the time. We can come to an agreement, like you guys could have him every other weekend!”

Liam just laughed as I giggled. “Now you may want to sit Louis down and break the news to him… they’ve got a real bromance going on.” That got me giggling even more and I playfully pushed Liam. We sat there laughing for what felt like at least five minutes, randomly bursting out with funny comments here and there that got us laughing even more. I was glad that the guys were really accepting me.

We had just stopped laughing when Harry came around the corner, still half asleep and shirtless as he ruffled his hair with his hand. He walked straight towards us and pulled himself up onto the counter next to me.
