I step round the corner, and my breath freezes the moment I breathed it. 2 figures stand back, whilst one leans over the chasm, dangling something. I'm stuck, paralysed like the oxygen I need to breathe. His wicked smile flashes as he turns the gain the approval of his peers. The ice blood in my veins chills further. It's Peter. The laugh he receives tells me everything I need to know. It's low and distinct; Al. The other figure looks terrified, looking left and right. Has he seen me? "Just hurry up and do it." Stepping forward, he pushes Peter towards the railing. A scream ignites in my throat. He's holding a baby. I remember it. I can feel the mist from the raging water mist against my neck when it was me hanging there. More cries. But they're not mine, I can't seem to move let alone make a noise. They're not Peter's, or Al's, or Drew's. They're high pitched, and more like wails and I recognise them. That's my baby. My baby girl.
