Aurora was born to a king and queen. When she was born three fairies gave her gifts, but an evil queen cursed her so she would die on her 16th birthday by pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel.
Fortunately, one of the fairies made it possible for a true loves kiss you break the curse. But just in case that wasn't enough, Aurora's parents thought it best for her to live and grow up with the fairies for protection.
