Chapter 1

Mitch's POV

Everything has always been perfect between Scott and I.
We have always been so close.
We have always been there for each other.
I wish that would never change.
But people change, I guess.
And I found that out the hard way.

Mitch's POV

Scott and I have been best friends for a very long time.
I have always been there for him and he has always been there for me.

Until one day...

Everything happens for a reason, they say.
Everything will get better, they say.

But I don't know if Scott and I will ever talk again.

He has been dating this man, Shawn.
Shawn Adeli.
He's older than Scott by a few years and he strongly dislikes me.
I haven't done anything to him, he just never liked me.

Scott has been distant too.
We haven't 'hung out' in weeks.
He hasn't said much to me either. Only 'Hi' and 'bye' or 'I'll be home in the morning'.

To be honest, I'm fed up with him ignoring me.
Yes, he means a lot to me.
Yes, I've tried to confess how I feel to him,
But he won't let me talk to him.
He won't give me two minutes of his time, just to talk.
He is my best friend, my only friend.
I wish he knew how I felt.

I'm not trying to be a 'jealous' best friend.
I just want to stick up for him.
Shawn is not a good influence on him.
Shawn doesn't like me, and he is rubbing it off on Scott. And he doesn't think I notice but... boy, do I notice.
I haven't talked to anyone, other than my mom and dad, for almost a month now.
Scott was my only friend, and the only one I talk to.
He will always be my friend.
I just hope he thinks the same.
