The next morning, Lauren stumbled out of her bedroom, clearing her eyes from their sleepy state. She instantly peeked up when she saw a silk sleeping Camila laying on the couch. Last night Lauren had figured out how to utilize her pull out couch, giving Camila more room.

Lauren walked over to Camila, gently laying down, trying not to wake her.

She was facing Camila, taking in the calmness of her face. She looked so peaceful that Lauren couldn't help but lightly touch her cheek.

Her skin was so soft and Lauren craved it. She scooted closer, bringing their bodies closer, ever so gently.

Camila must have felt Lauren there, because she pulled into her, resting her face in the crook Lauren's neck.

Lauren softly ran her fingers through Camila's hair, causing Camila to sigh. The breath on her neck caused a chill to run through Lauren.

She felt Camila's eyelashes flutter against her neck, signaling that she was waking up. Pulling away slightly, Lauren saw the brown eyes staring into her, still cloudy from sleep.

"Good morning Lauren," Camila said, her voice even raspier from the night.

"Good morning beautiful."

After they had gotten dressed, brushed their teeth, and eaten some toast, they were out on the streets once again. This time they were heading towards the small music store on the corner. Camila wore a simple pair of blue jeans with a white top, while Lauren wore a pair a white jeans, and a blue top, complete with a pair of sunglasses.

"Camila I can't wait to finally play again. It's been so long."

"I can't wait to sing with you!"

"What if I'm bad. What if I don't remember anything," Lauren began stressing.

"Lo, it might take a little practice but I'm sure it'll come back to you. They probably have some books of easy songs too."

Lauren still looked doubtful and they walked into the store.

"It'll be fine. I'm sure you'll sound wonderful," Camila added, kissing Lauren on the cheek, causing her to blush.

"How can I help you ladies today?" A young man with a beard behind the register asked.

"I'm looking for a keyboard. Do you have any cheap ones available?" Lauren asked the man.

"Of course. Follow me."

~~~~
They left with two song books and a full sized keyboard, only paying $230 for everything.
Lauren was in the process of setting up the keyboard, while Camila flipped through the pages of one of the song books.
Lauren approached her, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Find anything you like, Camz?"
"Yeah. I really like this song," she pointed to "For The Love Of A Daughter" by Demi Lovato.
"It's okay if you can't play it though. It looks really hard."
"Well you never know until you try," Lauren bent down to peck Camila on the cheek before taking the book back to the keyboard, placing it on the stand.
After about a half hour of Lauren slowly progressing through the song, she deemed herself reading for Camila to sing with her. She was hungry to hear the emotion that the girl sang with once before.
Lauren played the beginning riff of the song, before Camila joined her.
Four years old, with my back to the door
Lauren could already hear the pure emotion in the way that Camila poured her heart into the first line
All I could hear was the family war
Your selfish hands always expecting more
Am I your child, or just a charity ward?
You have a hollowed out heart, but it's heavy in your chest
I try so hard to fight it, but it's hopeless
Hopeless, you're hopeless
Lauren felt tears well up in her eyes at the pure emotion and pain that poured from the girl standing over her.
Oh father, please, father
I'd love to leave you alone, but I can't let you go
Oh father, please, father
Put the bottle down for the love of a daughter
Oh
The way she sang the last work
It's been five years since we've spoken last
And you can't take back what we never had
Oh, I can be manipulated only so many times
Before even "I love you" starts to sound like a lie
Lauren now felt tears running down her face.
You have a hollowed out heart, but it's heavy in your chest
I try so hard to fight it, but it's hopeless
Hopeless, you're hopeless
Oh father, please father
I'd love to leave you alone, but I can't let you go.
Oh father, please father
Put the bottle down for the love of a daughter.
It's been 5 years, since we've spoken last,
And you can't take back what we never had.
I can be manipulated only so many times.
Before even "I love you" starts to sound like a lie.
You have a hollowed out heart,
But it's heavy in your chest.
I try so hard to fight it,
But it's hopeless, hopeless.
You're hopeless.
Oh father, please father
I'd love to leave you alone, but I can't let you go.
Oh father, please father
Put the bottle down for the love of a daughter.
Don't you remember I'm your baby girl?
How could you push me out of your world?
Lied to your flesh and your blood
Put your hands on the ones that you swore you loved.
Don't you remember I'm your baby girl?
How could you throw me right out of your world?
So young when the pain had begun,
Now forever afraid of being loved.
Oh father, please father
I'd love to leave you alone, but I can't let you go.
Oh father, please father
Oh father, please father
Put the bottle down for the love of a daughter.
For the love of a daughter
The way she sang the last line sent millions of shivers down Lauren's spine. She couldn't get over how much emotion was put into all of Camila's vocals. She loved it.
"That was beautiful, Camz," Lauren said through tears.
"Lo, why are you crying?" she asked with much concern in her tone.
"You sing so beautifully. With so much emotion." Lauren wiped her remaining tears away.
"Th...thank you. That means so much to me...I really missed singing. And I've never sang with accompaniment before. It's so much better. You play beautifully."
"Thank you, Camila. I really want us to do this more."
"Definitely," Camila answered before crouching down and softly kissing Lauren's lips, taking her by surprise.
HEELO
Yo guys I'm so freaking sorry. I've been stressing out about updating but I haven't been home in weeks. I've had to stay after school until 8 even on the weekends because we have a competition coming up on Saturday. There's a snow day today (yes in March) so that's why I had a chance to write. I apologize greatly. More will be coming soon. And I have some angst up my sleeve so be prepared.
As always, tell me what you think.
How are you guys today?
