Character: Evan Peters (AU)

So I thought of this idea with a friend, with a different person/actor but I thought it would be cute to do this with Evan. This is in modern times and I was thinking of maybe doing a mini series of it. Maybe even move it to a book itself. Tell me what you think! Your opinions are very important to me!

Life wasn't hard, it wasn't easy either but you got by. Being a single, parent-less college student brought some difficulty but you always found a way.

Grabbing your keys, you quickly ran out of your small but homey apartment. This was the 6th time you were late for the bus, you were not missing it again. You knew your boss Bobby was getting annoyed with you always being late but he let it slide knowing that you were having a bit of hard times adjusting to life all by yourself.

Your blue converse shoes scrapped along the concrete as you swiftly ran down the sidewalk, holding your bag firmly so it wouldn't slip out of your grasp. You sighed in relief when the bus was still there. You quickly got onto the bus, putting your money in the money bin.

"Thanks John." You smiled, knowing he probably knew you were coming and waited.

"No problem, Y/N. Any tests today?" He asked, started to move the bus. You sat down in a seat closest to him.

"Um, yes in Psychology and Biology." You explained, quickly thinking back to the notes you studied the night before until 3AM.

"You're a busy girl, you have work before classes?" John asked, you nodded your head in response. After that the conversation was over and you decided to take out a book you were reading "Safe Haven", it wasn't the best you have read but you loved the reality of the love story, it wasn't cheesy or cliche like most.

------

"Y/N!" You snapped out of your thoughts and reading when John called your name.

"Yeah?"

"It's your stop..." Eye brows knitted together, you looked out the window to see you were indeed at your stop.

"Oh, thanks John! See you tomorrow!" You called as you jumped out of your seat.

The door chimed as you walked in.

"Y/N, you're on dish duty, Marla called in sick." Bobby immediately said when you walked behind the counter, you nodded in response and started to gather plates and dishes for the wash.

"Hi Y/N." A regualar greeted while you walked around the diner.

"Hey Chrissy, how's the boys doing?" You asked, as you picked up a cup.

"Jacob and Logan are good, they started soccer!"

"Ooh sounds f-" You stopped your talking when you accidentally bumped into someone, pouring old coffee and half eaten eggs all over them. You gasped, eyes wide. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry!"

"Crap, it's my first day at work..." He mumbled, he looked up at you and you were met by a brown eyes, shaggy blonde haired cute guy. "It's fine, I'll just go stop by my place quickly, I might be late because I live across town-"

"How much time do you have because there's a washer and drier out back that don't take that long at all, please it's the least I can do." You suggested with pleading eyes, hoping you could make it right. He looked at you for a moment before replying.

"Okay, thank you." He smiled, showing his dimples, you couldn't help yourself but smile as well, it was almost like it was contagious.

----

"Here, my boss gave this to me for you to wear while your shirt gets cleaned." You explained, walking back into the small laundry room the diner had for the aprons and uniforms.

"Thank you." You stood there for a moment not really knowing what to say, you weren't much of a talker especially to cute guys.

"Can I get you anything to eat? I make a mean pancake." You chuckled nervously followed by him as well.

"That would be great... Y/N." He read off your uniform. "I'm Evan."

"Nice to meet you Evan." You smiled, turning around before he could see you blush. "You like cinnamon?"

"Love cinnamon."

----
"This is delicious!" Evan exclaimed with a mouth full. You laughed when a piece slipped out of his mouth and he made an "oh" sound.

"Thanks... My dad taught me." You explained drying a cup.

"You're gonna have to introduce me to him so he can teach me because this is amazing!" He replied, shoving more into his mouth.

"I wish he could..." You mumbled looking down.

"Oh... I didn't know, I'm sorry for your loss."

"He's not dead... It's a long story." You quickly replied, it was a long story.

"I understand..."

Believe me, you don't know the first of it...

"Oh shoot!" He suddenly called out, looking at his watch. "I'm gonna be late for work."

"I'll get your shirt." You quickly got his shirt, handing it to him.

"I'll see you later, Y/N." Evan smiled, before turning around. You hesitated for a moment.

"Wait!" You called out, making him turn around eye brows knitted together. You quickly got a napkin, writing your number, handing it to him.

He smirked as he put it in his pocket.

"Have a good day."

"You too." You waved as he left, you stood there biting your lip, trying to hold back your blush.

"Earth to Y/N!" Bobby said, snapping his fingers in your face making you snap out of your thoughts. "Your shifts over, you're gonna be late for class."

What's with me today?

"Thanks Bobby." You replied, running to take off your apron and grab your bag.

----
"There you are, we thought you were gonna ditch."

"I'm on a scholarship, you honestly think I'd miss a test?" You asked your friend Dean and his girlfriend Jo.

"That's what I told him." Jo smirked slightly pushing his shoulder. You smiled at how cute they were while they shared a kiss. All of you walked into the classroom, as per usual you went to the back in your usual seat, taking out your notes for the test. You heard the girls in front of you talking about how the new professor was super hot. You scoffed internally at their childish comments like how they were gonna "tap that". Shaking your head you resumed to your notes.

"Hello class, my name is Mr.Peters. I'm gonna be your professor for the rest of the year as Mr.Collins is getting married and going on his honeymoon." You recognized that voice somehow but ignored it as you took one last look over. "Okay, books away. This is your test, name and date as usual."

You slipped your book into your bag, taking a quick look up at the teacher and back down. Doing a double take your eyes widened as you figured out how your knew the voice... There standing in the front of the class was Evan from the diner, with the shirt you cleaned on.

Oh shit.
