Euphoria

Prologue

          The year is 5025. Life on earth as we know it has been gone for almost 1,500 years. Humans now live on the planet Euphoria, which once upon a time was called Jupiter. However it is not a peaceful life on Euphoria, the human race is in a seemingly never ending territorial war with the natives of this planet. An intelligent slightly inferior race that we call the Euphorians. The war is a fight for complete control of the planet and will only end with the complete eradication of one race or the other.

            However things were not always like this. Humans and Euphorians used to live in peace and harmony. The story has become somewhat of a legend.

            In the year 2054 a scientist named John Farlow, also the creator of casual space cruisers, discovered that human technology had not been adequate enough to accurately explore other planets. He made a brilliant discovery that the planet Jupiter actually had an atmosphere very similar to earth. When no one would believe him, he made his own trip to the planet himself. He took a chance and not only discovered that the plant could sustain life, but it already was sustaining life and that there was indeed an alien race living there.

Farlow became a science celebrity, but was over shadowed when an international group of scientist called the Orbital Science Committee discovered that the earth was indeed dying due to over population. And in 300 years would be unsafe to live on.

            The humans began to prepare. They used Farlow’s technology of the casual pace cruiser to build transports. Everything from clothes to electronics to food became space travel capable. It took 50 years but in 2104 the great launch Occurred, and the entire human race began to migrate to this unfamiliar planet. Desperate to survive..

            The Americans and the British were the first to arrive, therefore English became the unified language. For years as more and more countries reached the new planet, the natives went into hiding. They waited, watched and studied our ways and our language, and when they felt t was safe they immerged from the shadows and integrated themselves into our society, and for 500 years we lived in peace and harmony.

            Euphoria. It means a state of excitement, which is what the planet’s new name became, because we were starting over and it was complete excitement, until…The purge. The Euphorians turned on us after they had gained our trust. They wanted to enslave us all. But we were ready. We fought back, thus began the great war.

            The Euphorians thought they could overtake us. But we were ready…We were always ready.
