CHAPTER 10-------

Jeanette-age 17. It was a jet. Sleek. Shining. Brilliant. Aaron opened the door on the side. "To Lupus Island," Aaron said to the pilot, with a doubtful glare. "Man you know what? Kids these days," said the pilot shaking his head, "You guys have some funny names for drugs. We used to call it Mary Jane...I'm getting old. Tell you what? Let me see a license, and another hundred dollars, and I'll let you fly your girlie to 'Lupus Island'," he said with a wink. I couldn't help but laugh, and Aaron just shrugged. Aaron pulled out a license. "Where the heck did you get that?" I whispered. "Alpha," he mumbled back, "For emergencies, in case I couldn't get a boat back and something serious happened." Then he gave the pilot a hundred dollar bill. "And where did you get THAT?" I whispered again with wide eyes. "Alpha," I said answering myself. Aaron flashed a white smile. I felt his drift down to my stomach, which was already huge. I knew it shouldn't be that big, but this wasn't a normal baby. I knew that, too. "Do you actually know how to fly this thing?" I asked, as the pilot left the cockpit. "Totally," he said seductively, "Werewolves are very good with mechanics." I laughed, "Speaking of werewolves, how come I've never seen you go Werewolf Mode?" "It doesn't matter, Jeanette," he said sternly, "I don't want you to see that side of me." "What if Aaron Jr. is one? I need to know what to expect," I giggled, holding my enlarged stomach. "You got nine months," he said, coming in for a kiss. "Whatever," I mumbled through his lips. He was wrong. I could feel this baby inside of me, but I didn't say anything. As I kissed him, I flashed back to last night. "Jeanette, will you marry me?" he had asked, his eyes lighting the fire I felt for him. "Finally," I had answered, as he picked me up and brushed my stomach. That was the most happiest moment I have felt in my life. I wondered if Alpha would agree with our decision. I quickly came back to the present when the jet lifted off the ground. "Be careful," I said, knitting my eyebrows. "I will," he said, patting my shoulder, "I'm going to protect you and Aaron Jr. at all costs. We will be there soon, I could find my way back to the island any day," he reassured me. My ears started to pop. "Good," I said. That was all I could say. "What if it's a girl?" I asked after a silence. "Annette," he said quickly. I laughed. "That's my favorite, too," I smiled. The jet pulled under the clouds, as I felt all my worries float high above.

*** Aaron-age 18. Flying the jet was the most natural thing I had ever done. Jeanette was worried, but she had no need. I had meant what I said. I would protect her and the baby. At all costs. An hour had passed. "Oh. My. Gosh," said Jeanette. "What?" I wondered, brushing the hair from my eyes. "Would it be weird if my water just broke?" she said, breathing heavily. "Umm...very," I said, trying to pay attention to the jet. She started to lose breath. "Tell me this is fake," I said, beads of sweat forming at my temples. She screamed. I reached down to help her, as she fell out of the chair. "NO!" she screamed. "Jeanette! I have to help you!" I tried. "NO YOU HAVE TO FLY THIS JET!" She yelled, clutching her stomach. I did as I was told, but I sped up the jet. We were so close...so close. I could see the shore of the island. She shrieked in pain. I looked back quickly trying to pull her up, and that was a mistake. I felt the jet swerve back and forth. I tried to grab back ahold of the controls, but it was too late. We were going down.....fast. I did everything I could to pull us back up, but it was no use. Everything went slowly. It was like a horror movie. Pure torture. We all were about to go down. I moved to Jeanette, holding her tight. These were my last moments. Wait a second, I thought. She was a vampire. This couldn't kill her. But I was a werewolf. It could kill me. Wait- I'm a werewolf. I slapped myself, "Aaron, you idiot," I said to myself, as I turned into a werewolf, swiftly, strongly. Feeling powerful, I clung to Jeanette. We were safe. Then it hit me....the baby. This may not harm Jeanette or me, but this could kill our baby. Our baby could be killed. Because of me. Jeanette looked at me, as if reading my fear. Then I felt the blow. We crashed. Everything turned black.
