Chapter 5

{Emma}

I watched with hatred as Laney gets to go on living, and I am stuck as a 12 year old forever. What about Ashley? She is even younger than I am. She is only 5. Although I am still young, I have experienced more than Ashley has. I have traveled before. I have had my first kiss (I had one boyfriend before) and I have done other things that my 5 year old sister hasn't done. What about Ashley? She hasn't even been outside our hometown before, she will never have a boyfriend, never experience her first kiss, her first break-up, get married, have kids. Neither will I.
The worst part is that Laney gets to live, and she will get to live a long life. She will get married, have kids, and me and Ashley never will. My anger flared through me. I wanted to kill Laney.
"Emma, come fly with me." Ashley called out to me.
"I'm busy." I said.
"Doing what?" Ashley asked me.
"Planning how to kill Laney." I said.
"No!" Ashley says. "I know you are mad she killed us, but if you kill her you'll be just as bad as she is."
Wow. Why did my little sister have to be right?
