Kristie slipped happily behind the counter as she tied her apron into place. A smile plastered across her face as she treated her first customer.
"What's that smile for?" It was Gemma who spoke to me. She was a fellow employee at Morning Brew and someone Kristie could consider a good friend by her own standards. Since working there for the past month she had befriended her and the girls had traded numbers the very same day they met.
Gemma was a short and skinny brunette with sparkling brown eyes and a pale complexion. She always wore a smile on her face and could make even the sourest of people laugh. She was an angel sent from God.
Thinking back to the kiss in Logan's car a blush rose to stain her cheeks in a bright red. "Just a good morning."
"Uh-huh, well, whatever the reason being, he better treat you right. I can see he makes you happy, and God knows you of all people deserve to smile more."
Kristie had opened up to Gemma almost instantly, telling her about her mother and the hard work she'd put into making sure her mother was taken care of. She had briefly explained to her who Logan was but she had been hesitant to mention their particular relationship. So all Gemma really knew about the duo was that they lived together and Kristie had a serious high school crush on sexy business man Logan.
"Thank you," Kristie beamed, turning to face the next customer with a genuine smile.
The rest of the day went about the same. Greet the customer, fill an order, sweep the tables down, do it all over again. Again and again she repeated this cycle until 5 o'clock rolled around and she was able to finally go home. Not only did her feet hurt from standing so much but her cheeks had actually started to hurt so much she had to force a pained smile until Gemma had been an angel come to her rescue and had her breathing a sigh of relief before making her way home.
Kristie groaned as she walked through the front door of her home, just glad to finally get home and relax. "Pet, join me in the living room," Logan called, his voice holding dominance Kristie had only heard him use in extreme cases in the bedroom or at a meeting with The Blue Moon.
"Master." She answered, walking in with her head lowered in a sign of respect for him as a Dom. When he got like this he went total Dom, and there was nothing to do but comply when he did so.
Excitement rang throughout her body, forcing any tiredness she had just felt away to diminish into nothing.
"We have company. Kristie, let me introduce to you Ryder Thames."
At that name Kristie stilled on the spot, shocked to be encountering someone of his stature in this situation. Cassie had spoken with so much respect and desire for this man she could only imagine what he could have done to gain such a reputation.
"Look at me." His rough voice sent chills down her back and lust curling her toes.
With a tilt of her head Kristie came face to face with the famous Ryder Thames himself-New Yorks most well known and well desired after Dominant. It was said he was trained by three Dom fathers and a sub mother.
Raised from birth in the BDSM lifestyle he knew everything there was to know about causing pain and inducing pleasure. He was the perfect Dom for any submissive and could break you in a matter of minutes. Just looking at him would prove any rumors to be found true.
The man was perfect.
With jet black hair that hung just above his eyes and sky blue eyes set back below the most perfect cheekbones she wanted to touch on sight.
"Kristie, Mr. Thames is a very close friend of mine, and he's going to be staying with us for a few weeks until his home here is settled. You are to please him in any way he asks, treat him with utmost respect, and never forget your boundaries as a submissive while in this household."
