~4~
We just got done wrapping up the shoot. Everyone is busy packing up their things. The crew and I are packing the shooting area up.
"Sue," Eleni calls. I stop packing my camera and turn to her. "I just over heard the twins saying how much they like you." Eleni states excitedly.
"Cool." I say my lips pursed. "Why are you so exited about that?"
Eleni's smile drops but immediately grows, her pearly teeth almost blinding.
"That means they might want to collaborate again!" Eleni whisper-yells.
I scoff and turn around to continue packing.
"What? Wouldn't you like that? That means you get to see me again." Eleni says walking around to get in my line of sight.
"Of course I'd be happy to see you again but..." I breathe in and look up to see a confused Eleni. "..can't you tell its awkward?"
Eleni contorts her confusion into a stank face.
"Wha-- you mean the blog thing?" She asks almost laughing. "They'll get over it girl. Like they say, they don't regret anything." Eleni says shrugging off my doubt.
"Yeah. We hate that word." A voice says from behind me.
"Jeez!" I yell. "As tall as you are, I still can't ever see you coming." I mumble.
"Is a gift." Larry shrugs smiling.
I zip up my bag and move over to the table.
"We got all our stuff, brother?" Another French accent says close by.
"Oui."
"I'll burn the photos on a cd and send it to your address. Would you need us to send them to an email address as well?" Akeno asks.
Akeno talks about all the boring aspects of our job as I sit on the couch eating the food from the table.
"Hey."
I slowly lift my eyes but it's not enough to see the person, so my head soon follows. My eyes meet Laurent's and I quickly look away.
"What's up?" I ask looking at the tiled floor and then my shoes.
"We good, right?" Laurent asks sitting down and sinking in his spot on the couch.
I look at him in surprise. That was unexpected. I didn't come up with a comeback for that one.
"I mean, yeah. Why?" I ask genuinely interested.
"I need a reason to ask?" Laurent looks over at me crossing his arms and getting comfortable.
"No. I just thought you wanted to know if I'd write a blog about you and your brother's bad behavior."
Laurent groans rolling his eyes and I feel a certain, inappropriate, way. I slowly feel the need to cross my legs.
"This blog thing is gonna stay around forever." He sighs taking a chocolate covered strawberry off of my plate.
"Maybe and, um, no." I say taking my food back.
I glance over at the clock as I place the snack in my mouth. I look back at Laurent to see him staring at my mouth. When he sees I've caught him, he just smiles shrugging. It seems as if he moved closer so I scoot away a bit.
"Anyways, maybe the blog will stay for a bit longer. But probably not. Only if you don't provoke your helping staff." I say looking him up and down.
He stops and pauses to think so I know my comment caught him off guard.
"I non do it on purpose. I just non like fake people." Laurent says looking back at me.
"I'm not fake. I'm the realest person I know." I say slightly offended. I sit up, now engaged in the conversation.
"To you, you the realest person. You just petty and opinionated." He pauses again. "You need to be more professional."
"Wh--Me? More professional?" I scoff. "You're hilarious."
"Whatever. It's just a suggestion." Laurent rolls his eyes but I swear I saw a smile.
